So it appears the Republicans will be going from Dennis Hastert to Gym Jordan.  Don’t protect kids, don’t honor their oath to the Constitution.  Hard to imagine a more morally bankrupt group of individuals.

Scalise didn’t get the votes, so he dropped out. The Dems are also playing ridiculous games. They told McCarthy that if he hadn’t disrespected them in an over the weekend interview, they wouldn’t given him the votes Monday. 

So they could’ve gotten a much more moderate Scalise, and blew it. They just want the GOP to look stupid, playing partisan politics, rather than just getting Scalise in and getting help for Israel.

Would you expect the Repuglicans to bail out the Dims if they couldn't get their shit together? Nah, they'd be happy to sit back and watch the world burn. You'd be right there with them railing against the Dims.

It's actually a pretty astute philosophy from them. Let the GQP whine and cry and then put a complete nutjob like Jordan in power while they sit back and laugh and determine how things go next year in the midterms.

I wish they'd grow up and start actually representing their constituents, but I still have to applaud it nonetheless.

I guess McCarthy shot down Scalise because they had a personal grudge. McCarthy comes off as a very petty person who would do anything for power.
