With God's help we will make the Zionists repent of their crime of aggression against the Iranian consulate in Damascus

The Iranians won’t do anything for the same reason the Palestinians are not an existential threat.  Israel is a nuclear power and Iran would cease to exist.

All I can say about the bombed Iranian military dorks in Damascus is About Fvcking Time. If Iran wants to start a war, that would be awesome. The Iranian government needs to be purged so the younger generation can take over and secularize it to 2024, and no more Ayatollah bullshit.

Just for clarity this Doctor is an Israeli doctor…

“Just this week, two prisoners had their legs amputated due to handcuff injuries, which unfortunately is a routine event,” the doctor said in the letter, according to the Haaretz report on Thursday. He wrote that inappropriate care at the detention facility has led to “complications and sometimes even in the patient’s death,” adding that “this makes all of us – the medical teams and you, those in charge of us in the health and defense ministries, complicit in the violation of Israeli law.”

the group in charge of Israeli security services is the far right religious group.

Netanyahu’s Cabinet votes to close Al Jazeera offices in Israel following rising tensions

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that his government has voted unanimously to shut down the local offices of Qatar-owned broadcaster Al Jazeera, escalating Israel’s long-running feud with the channel at a time when cease-fire negotiations with Hamas — mediated by Qatar — are gaining steam.

According to a statement from Netanyahu’s office, the decision goes into effect immediately. It could include closing the channel’s offices in Israel, confiscating broadcast equipment, preventing the broadcast of the channel’s reports and blocking its websites, among other measures, the statement said.

Israeli media said the vote allows Israel to block the channel from operating in the country for 45 days, according to the decision.

“Al Jazeera reporters harmed Israel’s security and incited against soldiers,” Netanyahu said in the statement. “It’s time to remove the Hamas mouthpiece from our country.”

The extraordinary move is believed to be the first time Israel has ever shuttered a foreign news outlet, although its government has taken action against individual reporters in the past. The statement from Netanyahu’s office said that under a law passed last month, the government can take action against a foreign channel seen as “harming the country.”

I don't think that's a good idea from Bibi.

Bibi is a classic authoritarian.  I would not be surprised if Hareetz is next.  It’s what you get when you invite the National Jewish Front into your governing coalition.

all mixes of religion and government ultimately slides into authoritarianism.
It doesn’t matter if it’s Russia and the Orthodox Church, Japan and State Shinto, Iran and Islam, British Monarchy and Episcopal, or Likud and Judaism.

It’s why our founders specifically prohibited it.

I don't think that, which involves a very long history, was to the point of the cartoonist.  In fact, if you know one interpretation of how the Gordian Knot was resolved, the (possible) point being made might be to...

By the way, somewhat related to untying centuries of conflict you might find this impactful.

Often the best satires can be interpreted more than a single way.  Alexander (may have) solved the Gordian Knot by simply cutting it. Cutting the ties. Maybe that is a/the solution?  The title opens that possibility.

Although, I think the cartoon's main point was simpler and more direct.  Blaming the current president for not (quickly) fixing an existential foreign conundrum that has continued for a very long, long time is the satire's target.

Yeah though one could say Alexander is running his sword through the Palestinians.

and again I don’t think anyone is blaming Biden for not fixing it.  But send offensive weapons unconditionally and free of charge while also running cover at the UN and ICC is totally within his control.

Or you repeat points that simply are untrue.  I have never heard anyone blame Biden for not solving the Mideast issue
