first off the method of attack by Hamas was not a paradigm shifting type of attack.  The 9/11 attack was:

Second, the location of any attack was unclear and the US took measures to protect foreign targets which they thought would be the location of the attack.  By contrast the Hamas attack came across the most surveilled border in the world both by governments and by private citizens and Israel was warned repeatedly by all of the above.

Third, Hamas is a main target of Surveillence for Israel and it is a major threat.  Israel is also one of the most advanced surveillance states in the world.  Bin Laden did not at the time reach the level of a top target for us.

Fourth, when the attack occurred the US responded immediately, grounding flights across the country and scrambling fighter jets.  It took Israel 7 hours to mount a response in a much smaller area.  

Lastly no one profited from the Sep 11 attack.  We do know that massive short positions were taken in the Israeli stock market ahead of the Oct 7 attack.  That meant someone knew it would happen and that it would succeed despite the many reasons to believe otherwise.  

Obviously, nothing at this point is proven and it could have been massive incompentence and arrogance on a level that far exceeds Sept 11.   But to completely disregard this event could well have been known and allowed to happen is equally either foolish or just futhering Likud's disinformation campaign.

The +++++ are you talking about now? My last post in this topic was an NPR article from the IDF themselves saying that they screwed up and shot released hostages. Which they've openly acknowledged and apologized for. No conspiracy theory or racism involved there.
