Hamas has launched rocket against Israel in most major cities. Roaming bands have infiltrated and are machine gunning people in the streets.

This sucks.  Bibi is going to go full on retribution mode and thousands of innocent civilians in Gaza will die.  Hamas will be stupid enough to think a 1:1000 kill ratio will be a victory too.

Yea.  Extreme positions on both sides are going to make this ugly.  Bibi has created a lot of new terrorist recruits with his west bank settlement policies in a very short time.  PA may join in this time.  Iran is smiling this morning.  They knew the Israeli hard line on the West Bank would fire up Hamas and the PA

Could be a long bloody month.

I've been paying attention most of the morning regarding this current conflict between Israel and Palestine and it doesn't seem like too many people care about this. I just went to CNN, NBC and Fox and it wasn't even the first news story. Maybe it's because this continues over and over. Hamas gets stupid every few years and fires rockets into Israel that usually stray and do not do any significant damage. This time, Hamas fired over 5,000. In their inept attempts over the years to rattle Israel, they do target civilians, then hide amongst their civilian population daring the Israeli military to retaliate. If I'm not mistaken, this is the 5th conflict in the last 15 years and just another one on the list. Rinse and repeat.

It is now the main Headline on CNN

 

not sure I have heard of so many israeli prisoners being taken before.  Hamas is calling for a general uprising.   Might happen at some point if Israel keeps up the West bank settlement policies

It seems like it depends on what time it is. I just checked again, and it's getting more traction. I did read the part about the number of Israeli prisoners being taken, so we shall see how this unfolds. My guess would be just like every other time.

More than 200 dead so far. 1,100 wounded. Who wouldn’t go into retribution mode?

Nah, Republicans will want to defind Ukraine and start backing Israel. Democrats will use Istaels war crimes and halfway to pariah status against them. Now if the rest of the Middle East ganged up on Israel, that'd be a different story. But one on one? We'll let Israel be.
