Good Lord, no one has started the game thread yet, and I hate to do it, but here it is. 

How does Wilson help himself besides obviously winning? Not much IMHO. This team plays even more soft than Polian soft. If the team comes out and plays like men and hits hard, blocks well, are aggressive within the rule book, run solid routes and catch the ball, and have a lot of energy, it should be a competitive game. If that happens and we were to lose by 3, I think it gives Wilson another week and a little confidence with the fanbase that maybe we can win some games this year and improve. 

But honestly, with the transfer portal you should be able to really rebound a program in year 2. Year 2 with the portal is probably more like year 3 or 4 pre-portal. So, Wilson has his work cut out for him, to put it mildly. I’m not optimistic, and doubt many are.

It's too bad this isn't a typical year for Kansas. With Leipold there I'd say KU by at least 3 TDs

Yeah, they sort of play similar to Idaho per what a couple cfb pundits have said which is a terrible sign. I haven’t watched Kansas yet this year, so I don’t know any specifics. Leipold is the old Wisconsin coach, and his offenses used to be more conservative running game with big smash mouth OL style like Stanford, Wyoming, NDSU types of offenses which aren’t what Idaho does.

I just watched the Kansas - Illinois game from last week. Then I checked the AP rankings and it made sense. When Kansas destroys us tomorrow, they will enter the AP Top 25 on Monday. They absolutely look like a Top 20 team to me. Daniels, their QB, was the offensive player of the year in the Big-12 last year, and he’s the ultimate dual threat. He’s also expected to be on the Heisman race list. The dude is so fast and cuts and has vision like a great RB, and he’s an incredible passer, especially when on the run. Their RB is a stud. They have a big complicated playbook that’s hard to prepare for. It’s far from a Wisconsin offense. It’s high octane. And they’re cocky. 

Their defense is very good and they really swarm. They will definitely be relevant in the Big-12 this year. We scheduled these guys too late. The line is 28.5? Kansas will cover that in the first half, and build on it in the 2nd. I’m going to guess 56-13, and our scores only come from garbage time. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kansas in the 60’s. Screw it, I’m going with 62-13 based on how we played last week.

If we can just move the ball like we did against USC but take advantage of redzone opportunities, we should be fine. Unlike all the times we failed in the RZ  against SC as you so expertly pointed out, contard. LOL.

I remember the CTD last couple years at Fresno.  It was depressing.

All I can say as a positive is when Reno does turn it around, it will be rewarding as hell for the fans.  You won't take winning for granted for a while and it will be a lot of fun.

I read that three starters might not be playing for Kansas today because of nagging injuries, and how some Kansas writers think its unfair to make Kansas play at 7:30 at night because going to through the players sleep cycles off but this should be an easy win for Kansas. They could look ahead to BYU already and should still win this in a walk.

On another note, if Nevada can pull off a huge upset, could you imagine how nuts B12 fans are going to be. First Baylor loses at home to Texas St, Iowa St losing to Ohio earlier today, and then Nevada beating Kansas?

Kansas is a much better version of Idaho. I should say the potential to be because sometimes teams don’t show up and cfb is crazy unpredictable.
