This is on the voters who keep returning the same people over & over

McConnell has been elected by Kentuckians since 1984 - He won in 1984, 1990, 1996, 2002, 2008, 2014, 2020 ........winning 57.8% of the vote in 2020

It's the voters that have the say

Pelosi announced Friday she’s running again. So she’d be starting another term at 84. She doesn’t even do anything with her district. There’s feces, piss, needles, crime and homeless everywhere along the sidewalks in front of businesses. She takes her district for granted because she easily wins, it’s automatic.

Chuck Grassley was re-elected with 56% of the vote in 2022. He has been serving in the role since 1980, and won election in 2022 at age 88

Yep........we all gripe but their constituents keep returning them

It doesn't help that young people don't vote.

Personally, I don’t want ANYONE to vote unless they do their duty as an American and spend a lot of time learning about the issues and the candidates they’ll have to decide on. Voting because Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, your friends, union, favorite actor or musician tells you who to vote for is simply un-American.

It also hurts that nobody votes in primaries

Citizens United also pretty much made it impossible for young broke people to get in to politics, I know there are exceptions like the kid from Florida but it's such an anomaly

You know how we can almost guarantee only interested parties vote?

Poll tax!

100$ ought to do it.

O it’s not that complicated. I think every adult citizen should be able to vote.

You don’t seem to think or care that voting comes with the basic responsibility to know all about what your voting options are, and making your own decision free from the bullshit propaganda on both sides.

You just want people to mindlessly vote for who you support. Line them up, bullshit them about what they get if they take your word for it. LOL.

Just the cost of time required to understand what you’re actually voting for. It ain’t hard.

Hmm if poll tax is out then maybe a test? Basic english, mathematics, and current events should do it.

Now you’re just being a big baby about it. You’re killing me. In EVERYTHING else in life you have to know what you’re doing to participate. I want a drivers license, so I have to put the time in to follow the rules and be safe. But voting with much much higher stakes on the line? Fvck it.

You need a photo ID to participate in checking out $1 books at the library? You need that ID. But voting on big issues that affect the future of your community and country? Fvck it. You don’t have to know what you’re voting for or prove who you are. I can guarantee you that the founding fathers would massively oppose this insanity. Hell, even the founding mothers would oppose it.

There shouldn’t be any dispute on that.  At first I thought NC position was merely that a non-vote is preferable to an uninformed vote (which I would agree with), but he clearly wants some kind of test or irrationality barrier, no thanks.

You were right the first time. Where did I say the latter?
