I love RTS but never played Total War. I've heard all good things. Need to get to work on building that gaming PC.

Total war is great as a whole. The RTS is good but games with a narrower scope that only focus on the battles are better in that regard. The mods are great though.

We’re all sitting in the dugout. Thinking we should pitch. How you gonna throw a shutout when all you do is bitch.

Rome and Medieval 2 at least, don't need anything that special. A semi-recent computer or even laptop works just fine. Even Empire Total War isn't too bad.

Its after those games you need to really pay attention to what your PC has. And for Medieval at least, I highly recommend mods. They expand on types of units, factions you play as, the map size, and even little mechanics to improve more minor things. Not to mention you have mods that focus on being more historically accurate, but ones that turn the entire game to something like, for example, the LOTR universe (maps, factions, all of it).

Speaking of LOTR did you ever play Battle for Middle Earth 2? AWESOME game.

There are only two things I can't stand in this world: people who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

I need to know the backstory behind this LOL.

Not that much of a story. I had one of those "friends" in high school who was nice to your face, but would do shady shit when you weren't looking. I invited him over to play some games and eat pizza one weekend and when I went to the bathroom he pocketed my game. He stole it out of the case and denied ever taking it when I confronted him about it. I was just playing it the day before, so I knew he was the only one who could have taken it. I didn't bother to speak to him again after that.

The Total War franchise is one of my favorites in all of gaming. I played the original Rome: Total War back when I was in high school. If you're interested in jumping in, I would recommend Rome II: Total War as there are a lot of factions to choose from, city management is easy, and you can run it on basically anything as it's the best optimized Total War title. Empire and Napoleon are both great for the time periods, but it's much slower paced and the battle mechanics takes some getting used to. I think the most challenging of the franchise is Attila. Attila is personally one of my favorites, but you need a beast of a rig because of how poorly optimized it is. I have all the Warhammer games, but I tend to stick to the historical titles. Medieval II is also a really good pick up. I personally wouldn't bother with Thrones of Britannia, Troy, or Three Kingdoms.

Have... have you been looking at my Steam Library? Don't forget about Crusader Kings III and DLC, Cities: Skylines and all of its DLC, and so much more. Oh, and the entire Final Fantasy collection of their games on Steam.

Yeah, I may have a problem. I actually just looked and discovered I just need two more games to hit 300.

If you haven't played this one you're missing out. Spiritual successor to Sim City. I've sunken hundereds of hours into this one.

Just preordered Tears of the Kingdom today. Not looking at any more previews due to risk if spoilers. It comes in the day before we return from Belize, so I get to go from one amazing adventure to another B)

I was looking into getting Jedi: Survivor, but unless I get a next gen console or a far better PC, its sadly not gonna happen for me.

First game was awesome, aside from trying to navigate the mini map. So, its a shame I'll have to probably pass on this one.

Finally got around to finishing Red Dead 2. I don’t know how that ever gets topped. It’s an artistic masterpiece.

The ending credits alone are like 40 minutes. There must have been 10,000 people that worked on this game and boy does that attention to to detail shwow.

Finally got a PS5. It came with God of War Ragnarok . Anybody played and enjoyed this game ?

I got the same bundle, and have been playing it slowly. Those types of games aren't really my style, but I've been having fun.

I'm going to to a replay of the last of us part 2. I've heard it's much smoother on more capable hardware

Damn, that sounds like some pretty high praise. What's it sharing the #1 spot with?

Red Dead Redemption

Really good game. Though I have to say I prefer the sequel... damn close to a perfect video game.
