With CU starting to emerge from the dead no one south of Loveland will care.

CSU really did miss a golden opportunity with CU being in the dumps for as long as they were.

There are only two things I can't stand in this world: people who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

You know you've lost an argument when you shift the conversation away from on the field production. Fresno has a fertile recruiting ground (great pun for the Valley, eh?) and a proven HC. I think it has one of the highest upsides in the MW.

This. Fresno has aways been passionate about football and has always had a ton of talent.

It's a superficial observation by me at best.  However, at the very least the new FB HC at UNL-¡Viva! has a branding issue.

You'll see above I referred to him as your "...new head coach (I forget his name at the moment)."

In your repose you referred to "Bobby Petrino" & "Arroyo" by name, while you called you New HC by "he" & "his" one-time ech.

¿Does homeboy have a NAME?

--------------------------------

ON-a-SIDE-NOTE:  During this "5-mins" "Bobby Petrino was gonna be...(your) OC."  ¿How close were y'all to landing Easy Rider?  For example:  Did Bobby, his motorcycle or volleyball player GF ever set foot in Viva during the contract negotiations?

--------------------------------

"Some success" as HC might be a lil' generous ¿No?

Coach "He's" Record at Mizzou:

1st Season - 2-game BELOW .500

2nd season - 1/2-a-game ABOVE .500

3rd Season  - 1.5-games ABOVE .500

4th Season - EVEN...Right at .500

Then throw in TWO Bowl losses in Seasons 2 & 3 for good measure...

He just pulled in a 4-star recruit. Pretty good! UNLV is playing CSU next season isn't he? How about a $100 bet UNLV wins....I'll give the Rammies +4 !!

If it isn't the Great Deflector II.  I see you're adopting Cincy's MO.

¿Why aren't you answering my question homeboy?

Maybe it's better if you don't maintain that crumbling mess.  It's consistent w/CSU-FresNo's Valley Trash Brand.

Moe bitterness.  Looks like my jabs have stuck in your pea brain as well.

CSU football sucks,  Just deal with it instead of trying too hard to avoid that fact by deflecting about stadiums.

"Moe..." ignoring my question & deflecting.

Such a novel way to avoid my question.  Your schtick is worthless & stale.

Wake me when you are prepared to answer my question above...

Three posts between the two of us today, yet nether has typed you new HC's name yet.  DAMN...it's right on the tip of my tongue.

I'm not going to discuss that bet, because

#1 - Sorry... that $100 is ear marked to park in your new rented stadium's prk'g lot

#2 - You haven't answered my questions form my last post yet.

If only we had a sub-board where we could post & discuss recruiting news...

Wake me up in 456-days when that kid is actually in a Nevada Southern jersey & ready to step on the field at a Reb for the 1st-time.

Then only place I see this kid is a 4-Start is on his own Twitter pg.  ESPN & On-3 BOTH have him as a 3-Star

I would also say that it is lazy journalism to say if Bohl can't win there, maybe nobody can.

If Bohl was open to changing up his offense he might have a MW title.  Bohl is a great coach and I get sticking with what he knows, but the game has changed offensively and he hasn't.  He doesn't need to go spread but his offense is dog shit.

Also lazy journalism to say that Brady Hoke is making $1.1M. That's all Rocky was making because he publicly said he didn't want a raise. Brady has been making $2M: https://www.coacheshotseat.com/CFBCoachesSalaries.htm

And it seems to me Murray has underrated UNR's community support. From what my good friend in Sparks tells me, the Wolf Pack has plenty of support in the Reno area.

Dave Christensen didn't have a problem recruiting offensive talent to Laramie.

Because of 1 name, at least in the trenches. Jim Harding. Dave to Utah after Wyo was a disaster and he didn't last in SLC long or anywhere else really.  But we kept and love Harding.  Jim is an excellent OL coach and great recruiter. Puts several dudes in the NFL.

He is a great position coach. Do you think he has aspirations beyond OL coach? I know Scalley is heir apparent after Whitt hangs it up, but I would think Harding would have options to be an OC/HC if he wanted at some point.

He's been CO OC(a few years ago) and is the current assistant HC at Utah. I don't know a lot about him personally.  But if I were a school looking to run the ball and has excellent pass pro, I would be looking hard at Jim for OC or HC. Ludwig has tied everything together to make Utah's offense respectable but give credit to Jim too.

Jim doesn't say a lot to the media.. So I don't have good idea of his future aspirations. I hope he stays at Utah for as long as possible.

¿What you don't think being the HC of the Wroclaw Panthers in Wroclaw, Poland is a good gig?  Ted Lasso took a similar route & it wrk'd for him.  Wichita St straight to AFC Richmond.

Davey C bounced around a lil' bit after Laramie (1-yr OC/TE @ Utah & 1-yr O-Line Tejas A&M), but then put down some roots at ASU for 3-4 yrs (consultant & then O-Line), before getting the HC gig Poland.

¡GO WROCLAW PANTHERS!

https://ted-lasso.fandom.com/wiki/Wichita_State_Shockers#:~:text=Scott Van Pelt reports that, season as the head coach.

Your very unoriginal idiomatic expression "put...(my) $$$ where...(my) is pussy" while colorful & quite catchy doesn't fit anywhere near the context of our current conversation.

Kindly link me to where you think my "mouth is" in this thread.

I'm not sure how calling FresNo's stadium garbage & telling you, your new over-priced HC has a name recognition problems, puts my mouth anywhere near your "pussy" &/or Nevada Southern Land Grant College's rent-a-stadium du jour the 3rd Sat-in-Nov.

I'll be waiting for you to kindly connect the dots for me....

Without bothering to look it up I'd bet that their stadium revenue and expenses flow through the football budget.

That would be my guess also. There is likely much of those dollars that don't go to typical football operations.

Is it really "lazy" journalism?

I'm confident, it would be shoddy journalism is Murray sited CoachesHotSet.com, the same source you just linked, as his source for coaches salaries.

Any idea if last year was just growing pains for the Rams or will this season be a repeat of last season? Seemed to be alot of varied opinion on Norvell so wondering if this will be another hiccup for the CSU brass

We'll be better this year.  We've improved at every spot other than LB.  Not just on paper, but I saw with my own eyes offensive linemen that actually move their feet. 😄  RB is TBD.  Probably lost Morrow, but got some good talent to try and replace him.  It's the Air Raid.  If the OL can actually protect, we will rely a lot less on the running game anyway.  DL should be at least as good as last year, and D backfield has improved.  I'm going to hold off on predicting a bowl game, although it feels like one is in the cards, because it's CSU.  Norvell is on the right track but it's a hell of a rebuild.
