Lewiston’s airport is no different than Springfield/Eugene and is about 45 minutes from Pullman.

Also not a selling pt.

It gives me a headache just trying to think down to your level

The state of Oregon is odd in many ways which, IMO, give it character. One such way is that its public medical school is in Portland, not Eugene or Corvallis.  <---I I don't find that odd.  Of the very few Med School campuses I'm familiar w/, uc-bison's Med School is in Denver, not Boulder.  Cal-Berkeley's Med School is in SF not Berkeley (it stoped using Cal & started using the UCSF name in 1964).  Univ of Nebraska's main Med School is in Omaha not Lincoln.

I've heard that UO's AAU status is teetering and from reading John Canzano's columns religiously over the last 8 months or so,  <---I INTERESTING...¡Thx!   I've learned that UO's athletics budget is so dependent on Phil Knight's money that the man is supposedly invited to every significant meeting the athletic department holds. Knight has been wonderful for UO but he's 85 years old.

Add to the above that U$C reportedly detests UO's flashiness and the bottom line is that although Oregon has had a great athletics run, that's likely to begin to end soon and as you suggest, despite what some with limited knowledge of the university may say, with merely good, rather than excellent, academics, its chances of being offered membership in the B1G are very slim.   <---I Hmmmmm

I wonder what type of gift is in Uncle Phil's will for Oregon.  I would have to think it is pretty substantial.

Probably true, brother.

What is also probably true is that half of B12 schools are located in "cities" that, if I never see them, I can die a happy man.

Stillwater sounds like it'd be a fun town.  Lawrence, for the hoops history.  I wouldn't be too fond of a roadie to Ames or Manhattan (K. State) though.

Been to both..... Ames and Manhattan, KS...typical but pretty cool little college towns.
