The libtards know Biden would get slaughtered by DeSantis. I don't think DeSantis can win the nomination in a crowed field. how have they "turned on DeSantis"? It seems to me that he's been his own worst enemy by doubling down on his fight with the "mouse"...not a smart move.

I'm not familiar w/the specific West Coast (political)history. Almost 1/3rd Catholic and generally conservative socially so that may be another factor. Esp. in California now, it seems, there is movement towards the Ds by younger generations.

Also, IIRC Asian Americans have some of the highest rates of interracial marriage, so many of these “second generation” Asian Americans are not “full” Asian; I’d be curious how much the non-Asian parent affects the politics of the voter. Being from a mixed-race family myself and starting my own mixed race family, the “two or more races” category of voters is obviously very interesting to me.

Until the 1990's - I'd say that from the 1950's to 1970's most Asian Americans born were from American males in the military with Asian wives / GF's from Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Philippines & Thailand (mostly) - My wife's fathers brother had a wife from Philippines (late Korea /Vietnam war era) & have mixed race kids.......think with less military actions in Asia, the last 30's years might be more 2nd generation Asian American to American marriages .......at least a generation removed from living in Asia .........there could be a different dynamic between those native here to those coming over in a relationship via different histories
grandjean87
I wonder why Vietnamese Americans are outliers among other ethnic Asians in support for the Republican Party? If only there was a way to find out.

Grew up with a LOT of half Asian kids, and it wasn’t till I got older and met people from different areas did I realize that half black half Asian people (for example), weren’t very common in most places. But I wouldn’t be surprised if since the 70s the first generation Asian American wife and American husband is far less common.

robe
Side note Bill Maher and Dr Phil got in a heated debate about Trump. At the end they agreed to disagree and it didn’t affect their relationship. Unfortunately in this country we can’t have a heated debate and walk away as friends anymore. 2 1 Quote The Masters 5k road race All American. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that we weren’t friends with you to begin with.
