Nevada 2023 basketball recruiting

Recommended Posts

After originally only signing unrated Amire Robinson, Nevada just had official visits and is a finalist with some big name high school recruits in the late signing period:

4-Star Jazz Gardner is down to Nevada, Florida State, Ole Miss, and San Francisco:

3-Star Tyler Rolison:

I think we have a good chance at landing both.

I would love if they landed both of these guys. I can understand why some might be scared to take freshman after watching Pettigrew and Williams leave, but both of these guys have much more obvious paths to playing time as sophomores than Pettigrew did this year.

I think Gardner could be a monster in the MWC, he doesn't have elite athleticism but similar to Baker he is big enough and skilled enough to be really effective.

Gardner’s dad just took a HS HC job in Reno, so I think we’ll get him.

Looked like they were out of it for a while but eventually he did end up with the Pack.

Great news! Third best recruit we’ve ever landed, only Babbitt and Jordan Brown were ranked higher.

Nevada adds Issac Hyme's (KJ's little brother) as a walk on. We were recruiting him early on out of high school before his recruiting cooled off after bouncing around to a ton of high schools. Should be interesting to see if he can turn it in to a scholarship the next year. He and his brother have never been on the same team before, so could be a fun year for those two.
