So, convicted felon will be GOP candidate and very possibly POTUS. I am guessing the sentence will consist of a small fine and probation. Charges and conviction legitimate, but will not matter to the GOP voters.

You don't get a small fine and probation for 34 felony counts. 1 or 2, maybe. 34? That's jail time.

Personally, I think a sentence of 1 year ban from social media would be hysterical.

 

The charges against Trump are Class E felonies, the least serious category under New York law. Each count carries a maximum sentence of four years in prison. Trump's sentence could include fines and restitution, probation or other conditions — but a sentence of imprisonment is not off the table.

I read/scanned the indictment again.  I think the actions (checks and invoices, etc.) were seen as a unified set of actions.

FALSIFYING BUSINESS RECORDS IN THE FIRST DEGREE, in violation of Penal Law §175.10

I doubt it would be treated like stealing 34 cars.
