Trump has been the clear cut front runner in the entire time he’s been running, with the exception of about a month. To say this will win him the nomination is complete bullshit, he was already cruising to the nomination. I hope you don’t continue to spread this false narrative.

Well, it's an opinion so I think it's okay for me to have it.  I think it is keeping him in the forefront of politics.

I just want the guy to disappear and letting his followers think he's a martyr ain't helping that.

You can disagree and I'll likely not say it's a false narrative... it's a freaking opinion.

No. No. No. No. No. No. No.

People need to be held accountable for their crimes. Period. No President --- or former President --- is above the law. Letting him ride off into the sunset sets the precedent that Presidents can do whatever the fvck they want and have absolutely zero accountability. That's not a country that I want to live in.

Look I agree he should be jailed.  I just don't think it's gonna happen and I think (my opinion) is this well help him be re-elected which in my opinion is worse than not putting him in jail.

I would have been fine with him riding off into the sunset if he didn't have nuclear secrets just chilling in his bathroom.  He was a loose cannon with top secret documents.  You can't have that.  You also can't have someone so willfully flaunt the rules.  You need to make it clear that shit won't be tolerated.

See my response to retro...

No, it’s freaking bullshit. Trump has been leading in the polls by a wide margin since he announced his candidacy, with the exception of the month or so after the midterms. He has been crushing all the other candidates this entire year. He is at the forefront of politics because he is a former President that has been crushing all other primary candidates in the polls for months. What, the charges are going to move him from first place to… super first place?

That said, I wish they would just leave him alone and let him ride off into the sunset.  All this is doing is keeping him in the forefront of politics and the result will be him winning the nomination again

Is that you Geraldo?

People, not a fan.

Bad idea from the Dems point of view.  To many it will confirm a political nature to the indictment.  And eliminating Trump eliminates the chaos that comes with Trump.  If I am Biden I'd rather face a wounded/distracted Trump than almost anybody else.

It gives me a headache just trying to think down to your level

Trump won’t even follow laws he himself signed what the +++++ makes Greg “yes I’m still alive” Geraldo think he’ll follow some kind of non binding gentlemen’s agreement? This shit is all so disingenuous. I just assume everyone who defends trump will be implicated at some point.

I'll buy that. However, I continue to think the only way the 35% or so of the electorate who are batshit crazy will finally STFU is if we have a mini-civil war, and having the Orange Shitstain behind bars might be the key that unlocks one.

Lord.  I freaking made a comment about my opinion... where the F did I say he should be pardoned?

FFS I just don't think he's going to end up in jail... it would be great if he did, but i'll believe when it happens.

You seem to be an angry guy when someone doesn't see things exactly as you do.

Since neither you nor I can predict the future or what would or wouldn't happen under various circumstances we will never ever know what would or would happen if things were to happen differently.

I am fine if you don't agree with me...

As I have said, I think the guy deserves to be in jail, no doubt for many many things.  I just don't think it's going to happen... and I see the potential for this leading to him being our president again... something that is way way worse to me than letting him ride off into the sunset. jmo.

Feel free to cuss me out because you don't agree though...lol.

That's the most asinine way of thinking that I've heard in a long time. He needs to be held accountable. If he isn't, then any future GQP President is going to pull the same shit and then walk away scot free without so much as a slap on the wrist.

It's a false narrative in that you think it's what should be done because of your idiotic reasons behind it.

Ok.  It's fine that you think it's an asinine opinion.  I just hope he doesn't end up as president.  If he does, then maybe it wasn't so asinine I guess.

Ahh... another angry poster.  Just because my opinion of what may happen is different than yours.  Margins are slim I hope you are right and he goes to jail... otherwise maybe not so idiotic reasons.

Like you, I'm skeptical how long he goes to jail.  I hope they throw the book at him but he is a slippery bastard and most famous/wealthy people find ways to wiggle out of justice.

I'm very concerned about the judge as well.

But, they absolutely should go after him

If he ends up as President then he was always going to end up as President.

Put your dunce cap on and go sit in the corner for a while. The adults are talking.

There seems to be this assumption by some that these crimes are harmless and therefore we should just let Trump keep doing them. Maybe it's real fing important that we don't let the guy who gathered a mob at the Capitol to overturn a presidential election by physical force to read kid rock in to the plans for attacking North Korea.

What president wouldn't seek the wise council of Kid Rock on the matter for North Korea ?!?!

This whole "trump is harmless" idiocy shows how far down the rabbit hole of utter stupidity people who identify as republican have become -- The entire GOP has become a literal clown show of epic morons
