Eh....they're just working their way back East.  30 or 40 years from now they'll be in Nashville...

It gives me a headache just trying to think down to your level

Not surprising. I cannot believe how ghetto Oakland is. I have never seen a bigger shithole in my entire life

I was surprised they were able to keep those teams as long as they did.  Maybe it is just because I am not super old, but Oakland hasn't felt like its own city in a long time.  It has always just seemed like San Francisco, and then the Bay Area.  And the stadiums were not in a great area, and the city has deteriorated and I can't think of a really major economic engine to create a rebound.

Exactly, not really sure why Oakland had teams in the first place. Likely just due to the lack of markets out west in general.

San Jose makes a lot more sense if the Bay Area is going to have multiple teams.

The A's proposed a move to San Jose but the Giants claimed Santa Clara county as their designated territory.

And the Giants have a minor league team in San Jose.

The ghetto in Oakland is ghetto. The rest is pretty nice, especially closer to Piedmont and the Oakland Hills. I have a brother who has lived there for a couple decades and go there often. You just need to know the areas to avoid, much like any big city.

And now Las Vegas just needs a NBA team and they will be 4 for 4.

I don't really thinks this helps UNLV but obviously helps Las Vegas.

Yeah.....Just need an NBA Team and 5 D-1 schools to move in and UNLV will be in the same position as SJSU.......

Do they know it's 9,000 degrees there in the summer?

Kaval told the Las Vegas Review-Journal a $1.5 billion, 35,000-seat stadium with a partially retractable roof would be built on the site, adding that other developments, including restaurants and an amphitheater, are being discussed.

Ick. Baseball in a dome is just wrong.

Retractable roofs aren't really that bad though.  Seattle has a good one

Texas Rangers just put one in

I could see Vegas having a need, especially for the fans.  Fully open it for the night games and the spring and fall games.
