If both schools were still here and there were more BYU fans to fight, it would be different. It’s all about bringing the right tool for battle. 
 
BYU’s business resume is pretty hard to dispute. Besides, there’s enough MWC fans here that hate BYU so my handy work isn’t needed.

I have found the great uniter among my MW brethren (or anyone that's been in a conference with them) is the mutual disdain for BYU. Big 12 fanbases will soon join in on the fun.

I don't think Fresno fans hate BYU, we hate Boise.  And I don't think Boise fans really hate BYU, or at least from what I've seen on the board.

I get your point, and I think you are probably right, but maybe it's more the old MWC schools hate BYU?

When SDS leaves, and if the Dogs can get to 5 MWC championships before Boise, I think even some of my Boise loathing will be satiated.

From what I've observed: Fresno hates SJSU and Boise primarily- SUDS coming in close behind. Just not enough room to hate BYU there.

I think a lot of Dogs fans are actually a little enamored with the Aztecs, which I don't quite understand.  In football, I expect Fresno to be better than SUDS.

Fresno Is weird regarding the bay area.  Bakersfield is generally LA pro team fans, and Fresno is normally Bay Area sports fans.  I live in the middle and its kind of muddled. Anyeay, I have lots of conservative fresno friends who hate Frisco, but root for the niners, giants, and warriors.  I never root for bay area pro teams, hatem.

I don't hate San Ho, but I think you have a point that a lot of State fans do.  And its a mean hate, different than towards Boise or San Diego.

I just read through this entire thread (btw, only 8 pages in 2 months?? Rookies!) and one thing I didn't see mentioned, was the fact that the Big 12 could very well consider adding SDSU just to help break up the PAC by inviting their best options, along with, or separate from, the 4C schools. However, in light of the recent ACC news, this might not happen either. We'll soon see, I guess.

(And no, I'm not saying SUDS hasn't earned an invite.)

No g5 school is going to the Big 12.  Or/Wa to the Big 12 is more likely at this point, and that isn’t happening either.  Mentioning it in multiple threads doesn’t lend any credence, it’s still not happening.

You know, I haven't been on this board much lately (why I just read the thread), and I confess I didn't think about the fact that you know everything..

And btw, I didn't say it was happening, I said it's something to think about. Kinda like what Craig Thompson did with Fresno and Reno when BYU was doing the project. It absolutely worked, it destroyed the WAC.

If PAC doesn’t extend an invite before 6/30 the Aztecs are going to the Big12. However I hear that the Big12 option won’t be happening, we’ll see.

¿Are you in the SLO-Pismo-Paso Metroplex?

I LOVE SLO.  I'd like to retire there, however I don't think I cold afford it.  I could pull-off one home there, however I hope to split my time between one US city & Medellin or Manizales in Colombia, SA.

The only rub I can come up w/on SLO is, it's distance from a major airport.  How are flts out of SB & FresNo these days?  I get the impression/hunch the availability of flts from SB fluctuates greatly as small & medium carriers come & go from that airport.
