FYI: SDSU is making serious bank off of this new stadium. The running costs are easily paid for by renting it out to NWSL, MLR, (future MLS), concerts, multiple international soccer events already in the first year, etc...

Plus SDSU has seriously upgraded its ability to collect gameday revenue.

He hasn't a clue.

Their revenue is less than their debt service on the stadium alone.  Doesn’t take an insider when it’s public record.  Take a lap.

I've been hearing this about Canvas since it opened.  Yet, all the players get new pants every year.

Snapdragon will be just fine.

Oh, and their beaches are real.

Since when does saying that we were one of only three teams with X mean that I’m saying we’re better than those teams? You’re dim if you make that association.  He lied and you’re buying it.  Nothing he says is true, he literally twists everything and changes quotes to sucker people like you into misunderstanding.

Lied? I quoted your exact words buck.   I made it bigger and bold this time.

Tell me again how you were “stunned” that your Top 15 offense was finally “let loose”. And about the bad ass space game uniforms….

PAC is still benefiting from preseason west coast bias, which will always make you look better in the first half of the season.  It fades annually like clockwork for the PAC.  But seriously, good luck against USC future conference mate. The Massey composite trends are tightening between the PAC and ACC for fourth/fifth place. And 3/4 of the new adds are top 25 caliber teams.  The other would be the best basketball school in the PAC.

By the way, don’t think UCF is meh anymore.  I’m stunned myself but now that our offense has been let loose we’re one of only three schools in the country with both a top 15 defense and offense (Alabama and Michigan).

And our Space Game uni’s are the best this year.

It's also a lie.  UCF was 16th in total offense...and 69th in total defense.

It gives me a headache just trying to think down to your level

I’m just trying to figure out who UCF was “let loose” on? They lost 3 of their last 4 games including a loss to a 4-8 Navy( in Orlando)team.

But apparently UCF was on the same level as Bama and Michigan.

Well, Dennis Dodd has never exactly displayed objectivity toward SDSU. Nevertheless, JD Wicker no longer has any credibility with me either since one of his subordinates straight out told me SDSU was "in" and since others who would know have told me SDSU's football staff, who similarly indirectly report to Wicker, have supposedly been telling HS recruits for several months that if they come to SDSU, the university will be in the Pac by the time they suit up. Granted, that's all hearsay but at a minimum, it speaks poorly of Wicker as a department head. And btw, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that Wicker has been gullible in believing slanted talk from Kliavkoff who looks good as a conference commissioner only in comparison to Larry Scott.

The Pac isn’t expanding until the TV deal is done.  They have been very clear about this.  You seem to get your feelings hurt fairly easily.

If by that you mean I get upset when I'm deceived, that's correct. Maybe SDSU's current sports leadership has been deceived by the Pac. If so, shame on the Pac. But maybe the Pac has been straightforward with SDSU leaders but they have deceived us fans. Considering the deceptiveness and ineptitude of some of their predecessors in SDSU's athletic department, it sure wouldn't be the first time.

Has the Pac gotten its media deal done yet?  Nope.  Once they do you can get your panties in a bunch (yet again 🙄) if we aren’t officially added shortly thereafter.  If you can control your emotions, try not to cancel your tickets or stop donations before then, ok?

Let me guess, he wants Fresno instead? Your school isn’t going anywhere dumbass.

Just to stand up for Yoda….

Fresno gets tons of derision across the state.  Hell the pastor at our church makes Fresno/valley jokes.

But that also creates an us versus them mentality across the San Joaquin Valley from Bakersfield to Stockton.  No one from the coastal cities want to move there. It’s literally mostly red flyover country (or drive though as fast as possible down I5)

That said, the SJV is home to 4.3M people.  If it were a state (which it should be) it would be 27th largest state between Oregon and Kentucky.  And unlike Oregon, Oklahoma, Connecticut, Utah, Iowa,  Nevada, Arkansas, Mississippi,  Kansas, Nebraska and West Virginia (which all have less population), it doesn’t have a single P5 or Pro franchise within it.

Just to the north of the San Joaquin valley sits the Sac Metro Market with another 2.397M people.  The combined size of 6.7 would be the 18th largest state between Indiana and Missouri.   You add the Kings as competition but still no direct P5 or Pro football competition.

It’s a large market dying for their own team who belongs with a midwestern mentality about sports.  It led the MWC in attendance at 39,067 average and tied for the league leadership in conference Championships. It doesn’t take a lot of imagination to see Fresno as a midwestern type powerhouse in terms of attendance and ratings.

Very good points.  I’ve done some business in the Valley and what to challenge the Whole Valley argument.

Devils Advocate questions:

1) Fresno tries and I think successfully brands themselves as the team for the “V” for Valley, how much does that resonate the further you get from Fresno?  For my point, I spent quite a bit of time in the Northern part of the Valley: Stockton/Lodi and some in Turlock, Modesto, Salida, I did not get the natural feel of Fresno State Bulldogs country (looking at bumper stickers and license plates).  For SacTown/Folsom and more northern Cal (Yolo, Chico) has more of a Boise, Reno, and smattering of Cal and SJSU feel (why didn’t David Fales go to Fresno vs SJSU?  He’s from farmland Salinas; not the Valley). The Valley is pretty diverse.  Like Stockton is more like Oakland and Antioch.  So how far does the reach go?

2) The Valley is a cool pocket (up to 4 million people) with a Big12 flyover vibe, but they are there. Is the Valley just too far from its cultural brethren in the Big12 and thus landlocked?

3) I’ve been telling my Pac12 friends that they need to double down on California and Fresno State would be a great add.   Drivable games, rivalries.  But fans at schools like Cal, don’t really care about the Pac12’s survival, only that they get their golden ticket out to the Big10.  It is unlikely a promotion to the Pac12 will be that much of a promotion with the core schools gone.  So my question is, what kind of political power does Fresno State have in California to push their agenda?  Say, SDSU gets in - that rips the Cal State bandaid.  I see how badly the fanbase wants to be in a power conference.

I’ll take your answers off line.  Hoping for a sociological, historical perspective.
