As much as I would love to see it happen, I'd put the chances at 5% tops.  IOW, the MW will decide to keep you in the fold.  Assuming no Pac invite until at least 2025

If SDSU is legitimately committed to being in the MWC, it's a done deal IMO.  If not, the board may surprise us.  If they can't get some sort of written commitment from SDSU (I don't have a clue what that would actually entail), then I can see a high likelihood of them telling the Aztecs to enjoy indy.  I couldn't begin to guess what the next step would be (add a school, stand pat) but I'm sure plenty of schools have contacted the MWC and I'm equally sure that the MWC has been talking with the media partners to see what things would look like in '24 - '25 as far as value and exposure.

Woosh owns a sever located on NSA property that holds all the secret NCAA numbers and private info. It’s the only place big enough and secure enough to hold all his data.

All future TV contracts that have been signed off on by presidents, budgets, sponsorships, TV-media network offers to conferences, TV ratings, 2023 offensive and defensive playbooks for all FBS schools.  Mole contracts.

@Did I hear a WOOSH? is literally the sharpest, most well informed insider on the planet.

What I wouldn't give to get his moles liquored up and get them to spill the beans.  I'd suddenly become a betting man.

Yeah but there was a 27 month notification requirement that was not met. It’s why TCU was sued by the Big East iirc. It would be weird to be sued for following the clause exactly, no?

They sued before the exit fee was even due.  TCU did so and the suit was dropped.

It gives me a headache just trying to think down to your level

I personally would rather have SDSU in conference for 2024 and reap the benefits of their football and basketball teams.  I don't care if they leave after.  Good games for everyone in So Cal (recruiting), nice regional games for the other Cali schools.  Hopefully some basketball credits.  What's one more year hurt?

If the MW had better options to fill their spot I would agree, cut them lose, but those good replacements aren't out there.

As long as SDSU gets into the Pac by 2026 as I still think will happen, I don't care whether the Aztecs have to go indy in football in 2025 and we only play a NMSU-ish schedule that season. Something like this:

8/25 vs. Wyoming (6-6) L 7-29

8/30 @ Minnesota (7-6) L 10-48

9/8 @ Utah State (11-2) L 13-60

9/15 vs. New Mexico (3-9) L 25-42

9/22 @ Texas-El Paso (1-11) W 27-20

10/6 vs. Liberty (6-6) W 49-41

10/13 @ Louisiana (7-7) L 38-66

10/20 vs. Georgia Southern (10-3) L 31-48

10/27 @ Texas State (3-9) L 20-27

11/3 vs. Alcorn State (non-IA) W 52-42

11/17 @ Brigham Young (7-6) L 10-4

11/24 @ Liberty (6-6) L 21-28

I wouldn't even care if SDSU went 3-9 against that schedule as NMSU did in 2018 since it would guarantee that Brady "Don't Call Me Fred Flintstone" Hoke would be fired and, with the large bump-up in income from the Pac TV deal, he would be replaced in 2026 by a much better HC with a much better staff.

JFC, Wyobraska. You're an embarrassment to the "SDSU blows and then they die" crowd.

You know what?  I'm fine with that.  I'm not fine with "We're leaving.  Pretty soon.  Not sure when, but soon.".  That leaves the MWC in limbo as far as when they move forward.  If it's a firm two more years in the conference, then that can be worked with.  It actually gives the MWC more room to contemplate their next move.  This business of wanting to be in the conference, unless we get a phone call and then we want to get some exceptions to the rules is BS.  In or out.  Sign a piece of paper that your in, or get the hell out.

For the record, CSU want's a P5 phone call also, as well as every other member of the conference.  I would strongly approve of the MWC taking the same stance with my school if it were to happen.  And no, that's not a prediction, it's a hypothetical.

Goddamn you're dim. He literally put it in the earlier post you replied to and asked when you ever said it. Dial it down a notch.

Since when does saying that we were one of only three teams with X mean that I’m saying we’re better than those teams? You’re dim if you make that association.  He lied and you’re buying it.  Nothing he says is true, he literally twists everything and changes quotes to sucker people like you into misunderstanding.

I find it hard to believe that you don’t know how things get out of ADs.  Who do you think ‘sources’ are? I don’t understand being intentionally obtuse, it never makes you look good.

The CIA just called.  They want your methodology.  Oh, and they're curious how you went about infiltrating the rocket launch thingy.

Their revenue is less than their debt service on the stadium alone.  Doesn’t take an insider when it’s public record.  Take a lap.

Kinda like the welfare scheme that is the UCF athletic dept.

And what is your understanding of our revenue?

SDSU was before their stadium opened.  Now they’re operating in the red which can kill a program, would like to see them balance a budget.  That is all.

FYI: SDSU is making serious bank off of this new stadium. The running costs are easily paid for by renting it out to NWSL, MLR, (future MLS), concerts, multiple international soccer events already in the first year, etc...

Plus SDSU has seriously upgraded its ability to collect gameday revenue.

SDSU will never get into the PAC-12.

Yes, they will.

It will be a depleted Pac and it will be with Fresno, Boise, and a few others.
