SDSU was before their stadium opened.  Now they’re operating in the red which can kill a program, would like to see them balance a budget.  That is all.

How do you know they are operating in the red?  Moles?

The MW cutting off a limb to spite SDSU sure would be something. Removing a top 3 value school from the conference hurts everyone who is collecting media money from the MW. like it or not SDSU is one of the most valuable schools in the conference.

Limb...haha.  Get over-yourself.

Way to totally ignore context @AztecSU.  Given y'all have one foot-out-the door, las 'tecas are NOT "...one of the most valuable schools in the conf." Introduce the entire context to your observation & y'all are 5-toes at best.

I 100% agree with you.  I would much rather just charge SDSU the 5 million entrance fee again and then let bygones be bygones.  If the MWC screws SDSU to the point they can't fill out athletic schedules for the 24-25 year while withholding conference revenue distribution and seeking the full 17 million exit fee it would be very petty.

Does the conf have grounds to w/hold both the 2022-'23 conf Revenue Distributions & the Exit Fee?

It's my understanding the withholding of the 2022-'23 conf Revenue Distributions is to be applied to the Exit Fee ¿No?

You talk as though SDSU is planning to stay and the MWC is looking to kick them out.  That's not the situation.  SDSU is on the very next boat out of town (even AAC at this point IMO).  The MWC isn't booting anybody.  They're addressing their best interests in the face of an eventuality, not a possibility.  SDSU has left the conference, it's just a matter of when.  Every other school in the conference is in the same boat, they're just smarter about how they address it.

Myopathy is real.

Good on you.  You beat me to this take by 72-hrs.

I disagree. One of the reasons you hire an attorney is so the attorney can speak for you so you don't put your foot in your mouth and prejudice your case and embarrass yourself.

It would behoove both De La Torre and Nevarez to heed that caveat and stop appearing to be highly educated female versions of Donald Trump.

"A  highly educated female versions of Donald Trump?"

Hyperbole much???

The withheld revenue is applied towards the exit fee.

More than half of UCF's 'revenue' comes from the school.  That ain't a balanced budget.

It gives me a headache just trying to think down to your level

So you made it up.  I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned those two schools and our offense was largely one sided in ‘22 so you need to to your game if you’re going to just up and lie about stuff.

Goddamn you're dim. He literally put it in the earlier post you replied to and asked when you ever said it. Dial it down a notch.

Are you sure? Someone said the same of TCU and then I checked. If they did they are the rare exception since about 2010.

Big-Time Apples & Orange, however CSU held Florida to the full buy-out of Coach Mac's contract.

I think sticking to the letter of the law of contracts is refreshing.

The negotiations involved a fair amount of wrangling & creativity.  Some of the $7.5mm compensation was paid directly by Coach & in-directly in the form of a body-bag game in Gainesville.

Yup. Although there are a number of non-Aztecs here who don't get it, the MWC needs SDSU much more than SDSU needs the MWC.

As for De La Torre, if she's seen as the reason SDSU doesn't join the Pac, she's going to be under so much pressure from alumni that she'll be looking for another job.

Since by all appearances, the Pac doesn't have an interest in SDSU, the Aztecs need the MW as much as the MW needs them.

I shudder to think, what if the MW is serious about keeping the gate closed to SDSU ? Indy in 2024 does not sound appealing. Even if she is fired over this, it's to late to remedy this faux pas.

Well, Dennis Dodd has never exactly displayed objectivity toward SDSU. Nevertheless, JD Wicker no longer has any credibility with me either since one of his subordinates straight out told me SDSU was "in" and since others who would know have told me SDSU's football staff, who similarly indirectly report to Wicker, have supposedly been telling HS recruits for several months that if they come to SDSU, the university will be in the Pac by the time they suit up. Granted, that's all hearsay but at a minimum, it speaks poorly of Wicker as a department head. And btw, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that Wicker has been gullible in believing slanted talk from Kliavkoff who looks good as a conference commissioner only in comparison to Larry Scott.

It's kinda impressive, though.  Because of the Pac's folly and because of Wicker's and De La Torre's mouth, SDSU is operating from both a position of strength and a position of weakness at the same time.  I guess that is indeed possible to do.

As much as I would love to see it happen, I'd put the chances at 5% tops.  IOW, the MW will decide to keep you in the fold.  Assuming no Pac invite until at least 2025

Why do you think the PAC doesn't have interest?  Just because they didn't adhere to your timeline?

Try using your good eye. Tells us how all hell was let loose by UCF last year but you could only manage 9 cupcake wins, yet you were on the same level as Michigan and Alabama.

That sounds like a powerhouse squad right there.

Woosh owns a sever located on NSA property that holds all the secret NCAA numbers and private info. It’s the only place big enough and secure enough to hold all his data.

All future TV contracts that have been signed off on by presidents, budgets, sponsorships, TV-media network offers to conferences, TV ratings, 2023 offensive and defensive playbooks for all FBS schools.  Mole contracts.
