A good article. Nothing new on expansion, but, some interesting insights as to how SDSU got to here.

I remember everyone bodybagging Wicker, but similar to Dr. de la Torre (who also entered with animosity from some SDSU fans), they have been actually pretty good.  In my opinion Dr. de la Torre can't replace Dr. Weber (a testament to Weber more than anything), but JDW has promoted SDSU better than Sterk did, and the amount of things achieved under his tenure has been impressive, though the baseball and softball teams need to find their way, and not sure if that means replacing the coaching staff.

Just having fun with the Spaz crowd.  That's Pat Stryker.  She's a billionaire, and a very generous philanthropist.  Her politics and mine don't intersect much, but she's been very generous to CSU athletics so I love her for that.  Probably her smallest contribution was a recent gift of $5 million to CSU womens athletics to get the new softball and soccer complex off the ground.  The cost is obviously far beyond that number, but she enabled construction to begin on a much needed and impressive facility.  Again, just having fun.  She's no bimbo.

Right on. Us "state schools" need all the help we can get from the rich philanthropists. Looks like she's a Northern Colorado dropout but must have become a Rams fan at some point.
