They had tip times of noon and 10 am Pacific against squads who literally spent less time bussing to Orlando than the Aztecs did going through security. First, yes, SDSU will not be beating Alabama and likely will suffer the same fate as Maryland did... a 20+ point loss. That said, this sentiment that SDSU beat no one to get to the round of 16 is exactly what I meant when I said in another thread that the first game was a lose/lose proposition for them... if they win, well it means nothing because the team they were playing wasn't a low seed and thus aren't any good... if they lose, well then they suck and aren't a good team... So they win two games and even some MW fans are like 'well they beat no one.' This tourney is tough... every team is good and if a team is advancing then they deserve props... F the seed number... plenty of top teams lost to higher seeds (higher #)... so a win is a win and props to SDSU for delivering this year! Conference title. Conference Tourney champs... and winners of two NCAA tourney games!
