Daaamn. Can't be a flare, because it wasn't descending... unlike the ones seen during the Phoenix Lights. That's crazy.

Dude it was surreal.  Almost like a religious experience.  I am SOOO GLAD somebody got that video of it.  I guess it was in the sky for a long time according to other witnesses in town.  The video did not catch the craziest part though.  The descent at changing speeds following by the RAPID descent behind the Boise foot hills.

I'm honestly really jealous of you; I've yet to have a similar experience.

I had an experience that I can not explain. When I was around 12 years old, I was riding my bike home in the dark when I saw a bright white light hovering over one of the hills in the Granite Hills area of El Cajon. I was pretty close to my house. It wasn't a plane or a helicopter because it didn't move or make any noise. It was too close to be a star or a planet. And it wasn't a beam of light coming from the ground. I kept an eye on it while trying not to crash on my bike. I would turn to make sure I was good, then turn back and the light would still be there. Until one time it was gone just like that. It could have been anything, but some 40 + years later it's still unexplainable. I've told my wife and a few others over the years about that experience.

The U.S. shot down a fourth flying object Sunday afternoon over Lake Huron, officials said, underscoring a stepped-up defense of North American airspace following the discovery of a suspected Chinese spy balloon.

“The U.S. military has decommissioned another ‘object’ over Lake Huron,” Rep. Jack Bergman (R., Mich.) tweeted Sunday.

A F-16 fighter jet shot down the object, according to a Congressional aide, who said the object was shaped like an octagon and was at an altitude of 20,000 feet, posing a hazard to commercial aircraft. The shooting unfolded roughly 14 miles inside the U.S. border over Lake Huron, a Canadian official said.

10 days ago there were doubts that we could pop a balloon and now we just merc’d the SS Enterprise.
