Zagillions!

Estimates as high as 42,000 in the Milkyway alone.

We are one of 200,000,000,000 or so galaxies.

So yeah.  Trillions.

There is a scientific consensus that not only do aliens exists there are likely trillions of alien civilizations in the universe.

No single factor is more important than the idea that intelligent creatures generally have a tendency that leans toward self-annihilation,

We are good.  Well for a bit anyway until we annihilate ourselves.

I'm sure many do.  They are here.  Been here for a while.  Good news is that any civilization capable of roaming the space planes of the Milky Way would likely be peaceful.

And physically impossible for us to travel/communicate with any of them.

Actually Wormholes may exist and might be creatable

"The boom in wormhole research continues. So far, nothing like a made-to-order human-sized wormhole machine looks likely, but the results do show progress. “We’re learning that we can, in fact, build wormholes that stay open using simple quantum effects,” Grado-White says. “For a very long time, we didn’t think these things were possible to build—it turns out that we can.”"

For us?  Sure.  For them?  No.  Warp drives are possible, as is quantum communication through entanglement.  Samething with wormholes
