The Inflation Reduction Act actually reduces Energy costs

Recommended Posts

That's right, some of the money from the IRA went into the renewable energy field and prices for generating green energy are now 1/3 less than coal.

US renewable energy farms outstrip 99% of coal plants economically – study

It is cheaper to build solar panels or cluster of wind turbines and connect them to the grid than to keep operating coal plants.

Quote

On average, the marginal cost for the coal plants is $36 each megawatt hour, while new solar is about $24 each megawatt hour, or about a third cheaper. Only one coal plant – Dry Fork in Wyoming – is cost competitive with the new renewables. “

Renewable energy was always on track to become cheaper than fossil fuels. The Inflation Reduction Act was a massive cash grab for the elites, but included some subsidies for renewables.

According to the article posted, the act "accelerated" the reduction in costs. It was not the sole or even the driving factor. It only cost future generations about a trillion dollars in new debt. So I guess thanks, future grandchildren.
