…would like to see a RANKULATOR ranking for basketball? 
 

I don’t want to put to much time and effort if no one wants to see one.

I started it about a week ago. I’ve inputted scores already up until 30 Nov. It’s looking good so far.

My dream is finally getting to see @Did I hear a WOOSH?’s  secret realignment workbook/database.  It has all the REAL proposed TV contract numbers for every conference in FBS. As well as dinner receipts from when all the top Execs from ABC, Fox, CBS, Apple and Amazon were looking to pick his brain about what their next big moves should be in college sports. 

It will likely never happen, but if we could finally see the names of the moles he has secretly planted at each TV network, that would be gold gravy. 
 

One can only hope right?

I admire the pluck, but isn’t it just a form of RPI? As I recall the formula is based on who a team beats and where the game is played combined with SOS.

I would say that's accurate .

Wyoming will rise when their stars get healthy 

SUDS is just flat out a repeat of last year's team with the unfortunate combination of the teams that were below them got better and they didn't.

We are not the 30th best team by a mile. RPI has its uses but it’s not predictive of the future.

What’s the purpose of RPI in 2022, again? I thought Net essentially replaced it.

It did. Net is an amalgamation of a bunch of different rating systems including RPI. RPI is a descriptive ratings system where the final result is paramount and all else doesn’t matter. Tell us who you beat and where. It’s basically a resume. The more favored systems like KenPom and Sagarin are predictive. They take into account how the game is played and give certain weights to their formulations that make winning and losing less paramount than playing well relative to who you’re playing and what each other does well, which is also relative to what everybody else does well.

We currently only have one player not healthy (Ike).  And now it sounds like there has been a setback in his recovery. I don't know if Maldo can be considered a 'star' anymore; he is playing the worst basketball of his entire 6 years at Wyoming. This is not a good Wyoming team.
