Oregon QB Jay Butterfield has committed to transfer to San Jose State. Butterfield (6-6 / 202) was a 4-star (0.9325) rated prospect out of Liberty HS, Brentwood, CA in 2020, and received (13) FBS offers. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

He redshirted in 2021 and entered the portal during fall camp 2022 (was he early on the Tim Plough sucks as OC bandwagon?). Wasn’t one of Boise’s top 10 WRs as a r-FR.

Definitely an area of need. Need to keep improving the roster as we’ve got a very challenging schedule next year.
