Good size, decent mobility, throws a nice ball. Led his team to a State Title in both FB and BB (I think) his Jr year. He got injured on a sack early in his first game of the season (against us) landed on his shoulder and broke his collarbone I believe. I would've been happy to see him in Red & Black.

Yep he is going to be a good qb. Wish he would have stayed home.

You gotta believe, one day we'll be good again

I'm just having a laugh at our own expense. I'm hopeful that Wilson will get something going in Reno and he had a good weekend on the recruiting front pulling in two 4-star transfers from Oregon, including a very good LB. We have a pretty good high school QB coming in in a few weeks as well. We'll get there.

***oh...I see it has all been covered. Carry on!

Yeah I getcha, being a football fan has been rough around here for a while even with the couple good years Norvell had. But yeah Wilson seems to be able to recruit, I think his issue is more so the x's and o's. Particularly on offense.

I don't think that Norvell was all that great at the X's and O's either with some real head-scratching moves during games, so I don't think that's a huge step down to Wilson. He will get more comfortable as a HC (hopefully) with things like clock management and overall strategy and hopefully his coordinators gain valuable experience as well....remember that they were all pretty green too. The better they are, the better he'll be as a HC. Of course, it's possible that there is no improvement at all, in which case, I'll come back and delete this post and deny ever having said it!

Yeah that's true, lots of questionable in game stuff from Norvell and I would say it was about the same this year with Wilson, hopefully they learned a lot this year and will be better next year. With Angus back as well the o-line should potentially see some improvement, especially if they can keep Starck somehow along with adding a couple transfers there as well. The talent of the team should be at least a little improved next year at least on offense and the schedule aside from the games against USC and Kansas looks favorable enough to give them a chance at 6 wins.
