But it looks like all posts from the last two days (even in older threads) are now VIP only. People now have to pay to argue there? I guess that is the way Jackson chose to hide/limit it. You should not have to babysit. I don't mind a good discussion with someone who has a different opinion. But the Diner became home to a group of angry, grumpy old (and young) men looking to be keyboard warriors. We tried to tamp down on people letting things spill over to other sections... I've lost track of the amount of threads I've had to delete 10-15 posts out of them just to clean them up. It's showing VIP because there are some VIP only posts in there. I don't think Jackson get all of the settings right. And why and who switched it back. It never made sense to me. Jackson makes money (I presume) from engagement so why limit engagement? Nobody is going to become VIP just so they can post in the Diner -- if anything, a few people might drop VIP in protest. And making it VIP didn't serve a pro-liberal or pro-conservative agenda as neither political affiliation nor ideology are furthered by being or not being VIP. So far, we are all still in the dark but, no matter, life -- however distorted, contorted or should have been aborted -- goes on in the Diner. There's a cadre of people who will go after any and everyone whose politics they disagree with, in basically every thread they can find.
