  1. @utenation, @halfmanhalfbronco, @Dogs4Me, @TheTedfordTrain, @818SUDSFan, @Headbutt … here’s your laugher for the morning!!
  2. Lol - as if you’re some sort of expert on this shit. You constantly lie and don’t know your ass from a hole in the ground. Seriously Woosh, you’re a meme on this board. You’ve even become a verb.
  3. I lived in Finland for 3.5 years. For a European country, it has a high % of gun ownership — not as high as the US and they do have tighter regulations but it’s not that difficult to own a gun there. The difference between Finland and the US is that country invests a lot of money and resources into its healthcare, education, and also making sure people have well balanced lives so that they’re not over-worked, constantly worried about making ends meet. Finland has a great track record of providing adequate resources and means to help people who start drifting to a dark mental state or substance abuse. Here in this country, most people only get 10 days of PTO, a handful of holidays, shitty healthcare, and they could lose their home if they’re let go from their job without finding another one very quickly. This type of dynamic creates stress that goes far beyond the bank account, it can severely impact the emotional wellbeing of families and individuals. While it wouldn’t eliminate it completely, I believe strongly that if we had more of a social safety net we would see far less gun violence. Anyway, I don’t want to get political on this board anymore so I’ll stop there and let you all continue on. My heartfelt sympathies to the UNLV community for this tragedy.
  4. I think, and this is my anecdotal opinion, it comes down to three things that are horribly wrong with American society: 1. Mental health and general apathy to do anything about helping people who are suffering — zero national initiative to fund and support programs like what other modern industrialized countries do 2. Income and cost of living worries in combination with the ridiculous amount of work stress put on American employees and their households — corporations and entities burn their people out and toss them to the streets 3. The glorification of violence in entertainment and media — this is prevalent in video games, movies, music, and the “news” I know and work with a lot of people who are depressed and have a general sense of hopelessness.
  5. Very good hire. Congratulations Lobo fans.
  6. Yeah, it’s happening. Washington State coach Jake Dickert was pretty explicit about his players being recruited during the season. I assume the way they’re getting around this is the program itself isn’t doing the outreach but rather boosters and other influential supporters.
  7. That info isn’t generally published on the public domain. But I heard from someone who is very well connected with the AD that Texas offered $1M. He didn’t mention any others. There’s a lot of shady dealings going on at the FBS level nowadays and it sucks.
  8. Rumor from a guy I know in the know is that Jeanty turned down $1M from Texas.
  9. He might be betting that staying in Boise and being the man will pay off long-term with more playing time and less chance of injury. I’m also certain that Dickey was working hard to get some more NIL lined up for him here. He probably won’t get 7 figures but at least 6.
  10. Well look at that @tailingpermit … there are people almost as short as Nick Patti!!
  11. I’ve seen those pics — looks like driving into a car wash!!!
  12. Pretty sure I can get your old lady to do whatever I want for way less than a Franklin.
  13. Portal. We’ve got one quarterback who is like 5’6” and another who I’m unsure if he’s yet to throw a pass in a game. Apparently the going rate for a good quarterback in the portal starts at $1M. Got to love what the “college” game has become.
  14. Contract deets … at least he’s affordable
  15. Koetter is one of the best in the business at developing a quarterback and calling an offense. Kustra fvcked us when he overrode the hiring committee that recommended Koetter over Harsin after Pete left.
  16. Mods - I didn’t see the other thread. To accommodate those who are so bothered, please merge.
