So your no longer worried about cutting footbal. That's good. I guess body bag games have kept you a-float the last few years. I hope it changes. It is not good for the conference perception. Even our commish has that one figured.
Body bag games will get worse. They are the main financial way of keeping pace. The worse off the finances of the college the more body bag games played. See Hawaii.
This is will only get worse until some of the low budget schools throw in the towel. See Idaho
it won't be long.
I didnt make it up. Came from your athletic department. No school threatening to cut football is a serious candidate For the P12 in my opinion. It wouldn't surprise me at all if you guys drop football or drop down after the next alignment. You will be left out and you won't be able to afford playing. I believe a few schools will be caught in your same position. That is a more realistic outcome, joining Stanford and USC seems kind of funny.
If Hawaii can beg for enough money to field a football team then you have a shot. Welfare program status hurts. I don't believe anyone wants to be associated with football programs that threaten to drop.
Unlv can can not win enough games in either football or basketball to garner any real consideration. Look at Utah compared to Unlv. one was ready for the jump and the other is struggling to hit .500.
not buying it. With 0 conference wins and the season over they will stick with him. Wouldn't surprise me to see him there next year either. He's doing a decent job considering the lack of funding and talent out there. You kept some games close.
budget cuts are a ++++. But I didn't realize it was that bad over there. If you can't feed your student athletes properly I for one will change my mind on travel subs.
yes but Indy == ( irrelevant in the football world ) ND they are not They fit financially and athletically in the big sky that would be the best choice
