  1. We are in the NIT as of today. It’s not even debatable. Also, if we won out until the finals of the MWCT, we might get an at-large bid. If we got to 9 Q1 wins, we would make it IMO.

  3. They must’ve read the famous book by Brad Gilbert!
  4. He is a Big West player.
  5. WTF was Webster doing?!
  6. If UNLV does the three things I mentioned, then they win.
  7. Competitiveness, focus, intention!
  8. Punish the ball inside. Wash, rinse, repeat.
  9. I think it would be best if stories like this weren’t covered. People will copycat this.
  10. They will be active. I really like the JUCO center coming in.
  11. He had at least two concussions and fractured his back his sophomore year. I think he also had some rib fractures.
  12. As long as we have DJ Thomas and Robert Whaley, all is good.
  13. Only 12 P6 teams get automatic bids, and they’re usually rated high enough to warrant a selection anyways. UNLV 1000% deserves to be in the NIT. We are 1 of 22 teams with 5 or more Q1 wins. Good wins > bad losses. If we beat Wyoming and San Jose State, beat San Diego State or UNR, and make the semifinals of the MWCT, we are a lock for the NIT.
  14. I didn’t make any excuses for losing to Air Force!
  15. There are no excuses for losing by 32 on your home floor.
  16. Kalib Boone has a MPG/RPG ratio of greater than 4:1. That is unconscionably bad for a center.
  17. This kind of logic will never make sense to me. He could’ve gone to Houston and be competing for a national title. Money is not the primary concern of his.
  18. They’re still in. New Mexico might be out.
  19. Hutson’s contract expires after this year, so he won’t be able to sit out and get paid.
  20. One of the hardest things to do in sports is not play to the level of your competition. The solution is to only worry about yourself and not your opponent. That is WAY easier said than done. We would be in the NCAA Tournament if we had that mindset. Air Force is a perfect example of worry (or not) about your opponent and not yourself.
  21. Shows Kevin Kruger’s evaluation ability!
