  1. The Rankulator is significantly more accurate then this crap. I don't think even the most diehard Buffalo fan thinks their team is the 12th best in the country.
  2. The AAC is having a cupcake eating party during the OOC. Won't be surprised if all of the P5's they've beaten in the OOC fail to play in bowl games.
  3. The reality here is that 2 of the 3 currently undefeated AAC teams have already been eliminated from NY6 contention because they play in the same division and a 1-loss Houston has at best a miniscule chance of being selected over a 1-loss MWC champion because the AAC West Division is garbage this year. I'm also pretty sure Cincinnati, USF and UCF have not beaten a FBS team with a winning record so far this season so they have been getting fat playing mediocre to bad teams. Those 3 undefeated AAC teams have also played a grand total of 4 road games so far this year, 2 of which were at mighty UConn. Way too early for any type of proclamation on the NY6 bowl.
  4. Flip Wyo and Hawaii and I think this looks like a pretty accurate representation of where things stand currently, although the bottom four are still pretty hard to read. I don't have issues with putting Fresno ahead of BSU right now because BSU has demonstrated some flaws early on. However, I don't think most peeps here realize BSU has only played one home game so far and have been dealing with some pretty significant injury issues as well. I suspect BSU will start playing better with a schedule that is back loaded with home games.
  5. Yeah, I thought Minnesota looked pretty sound against Fresno and they should be better in Fleck's second year. Their true frosh walk on QB looked way better than I expected too. Looking at their remaining schedule, they should win 6 to 7 games and go bowling this year.
  6. Looks spot on to me. I'm a little concerned you may have Alabama a bit too high but other than that no complaints.
  7. Close. 233 receptions, 3031 yards according to sports reference. The 38 TD's is correct though. There is no denying he was a freak. Dude had 24 TD receptions in one year. It helped having Carr as his QB...but those numbers are absolutely ridiculous. He would have shredded the NCAA record book if he played four years.
  8. Matt Miller would have destroyed every receiving record at BSU and nearly every MWC receiving record if he didn't get hurt early in his senior year. I don't think anyone could legitimately argue that he was a better NFL prospect than Devante Adams...but he was a pretty damn good college receiver...244 career receptions (4th in MWC history), 3,049 receiving yards (10th in MWC) and 29 TD's (4th in MWC) while only playing in 5 of BSU's 14 games as a senior.
  9. Whoa, haven't heard Pete's name mentioned in a long time. It's too bad he decided to transfer, but it paid off for him getting to play with Steve Nash on the Santa Clara team that upset Arizona in the NCAAT...not positive, but I think that might have been the first #15 over # 2 win in NCAA history. To answer the question, yeah, I'm almost positive they were both freshman at BSU during the 1989-90 season.
  10. Hmm, did this guy commit to Nevada today? The guy didn't even appear on BSU's 247 prospect list until today. He very well may have a BSU offer, but I'm fairly certain no BSU fans or media guys knew about it, which is fairly unusual in today's day and age. I have no idea how good this kid is...but if he does have an offer from BSU too he is probably a pretty good player because the quality of the kids we're going after is pretty high these days.
  11. You would definitely think Louisville has the upper hand here. I'm really hoping they have prioritized the recruitment of some of their other prospects over Robinson and get some commits prior to his visit there. If Louisville is out of the picture our chances would go up pretty significantly.
  12. I like Josh Allen and hope he does well when he gets his chance in the NFL...but I bet Leighton Vander Esch will end up being the MWC's first NFL draft pick this year. LVE is about to blow up in a similar way to Allen last year (assuming he enters the draft).
  13. Wacky NIT this year. All 4 of the #3 seeds and 3 of the 4 #2 seeds lost in the first round.
  14. I think Nevada will be 50/50 for getting an at-large if they make it to the MWCCG before losing again. People have been bagging on the conference all year, but in reality, it is pretty decent overall--there's a good chance that 6 of 11 teams finish in the RPI top-100. As alluded to above, the problem is that there are lots of really solid teams this year, but no great teams. That results in no good wins in the eyes of the selection committee. Too bad UNLV sucked so bad this year. If they were even just a top-100 RPI team (like the should be every year) we would have finished as the #7 or 8 conference and gotten at least 2 teams into the NCAAT guaranteed.
  15. I don't believe either one of those guys are even in the top 5. They're both good players, but neither is elite, even by MWC standards.
  16. If FSU was anything other than horrific as a football program right now I would agree, but with the state of the program, I actually think this is a good hire. Tedford is a safe choice for stabilizing the program and he and his staff will have good Cali High School connections for recruiting which should get them back to respectability pretty quickly. I'm not sure if he will be able to get them much above respectable--but I think FSU fans will be okay with a few 6-6 or 7-5 type seasons right about now.
  17. Can we just dissolve the conference until B-ball season then reform? Everyone else in the MWC with the possible exception of AF is garbage this year as football playing institutions.
  18. Happy to see BSU has finally surpassed mighty Charlotte in this week's rankings! Not that I really care, but speaking of Charlotte, how the heck did they drop 69 spots in only one week? Looks like your rankings are getting slightly more reasonable this week 'Bow...but they are still whack.
  19. My lord, these rankings are whack right now. I especially enjoy BSU being 20 spots lower than Charlotte.
