Actually, it was Nina Totenburg.
Anita did not want her story out there and did not want to testify. It was Nina who released it despite her pleas.
No, Anita Hill as SC nominee.

If Trump were smart he would nominate Garland, soar in approval ratings and the GOP's odds of keeping the Senate and Presidency would increase significantly.

They will do what their political capital allows, as is precedent.
There is not another time in history when Garland would have been confirmed.
That may be true however I that was not Mitch's reason for holding it up. It was his excuse. He did it because he could, and my point is clearly made because of what he is doing now.
And you're right about the political capital thing. The problem is that we've become so tribal that the concern of acting out of bounds is no longer the check on things it used to be.
So, it matters not that Mitch and Lindsay are hypocrites of the highest order. The worst R is still better than any Dem.

Mitch did not hold up Garland's appointment to follow any unwritten rule about election years. He did it because he could. He will get RBG's replacement confirmed before the election because he can. End of story.
We spend half the time on this board accusing the others if hypocrisy. It doesn't matter here and it doesn't matter to Congress or the President.

Fair argument. I would be very happy though if we gave Russia the Middle East. Win-win. Let them drain resources and treasure in that part of the world.
Dunno. Sounds like appeasement, lol.

Yeah, Russia is hardly an economic power however there are still only two countries that can swing military dick. The USA and Russia. Russia has a nuclear arsenal even greater than ours. Humor them. We can absolutely not escalate tensions with the other military power in the world (China pales in comparison). Right now. The last thing we the world needs is a new cold war. The last thing the world needs is us driving Russian and China closer year after year like Obama, Bush and Clinton did. Show force when needed, show diplomacy when advantageous.
Dunno. Sounds like appeasement.

Oh no, it pisses me off as well.
However Russia is the only military power in the world (not China) that we could absolutely not wage conventional war with.
Bringing Russia to the table is a GOOD THING. I do not blame Trump at all for encouraging Russia to be included in the G7. Seems like far and away the best solution to curb their behavior.
How so? Just because they are assholes? and their economy ranks 11th by the way.

Intelligence has known about this for months and all the while Trump invites Russia to G7 and further strains relationships with allied euro democracies.
Why?

Dang.
Good time to pause and think about that we are all real people here fighting our own battles and doing the best we can and maybe we should act a little better sometimes.

“Mr. Trump’s fiduciary duty breaches included allowing his campaign to orchestrate the Fundraiser, allowing his campaign, instead of the Foundation, to direct distribution of the Funds, and using the Fundraiser and distribution of the Funds to further Mr. Trump’s political campaign,” Scarpulla wrote in her ruling.
New York Attorney General Letitia James said Thursday in a statement: “The Trump Foundation has shut down, funds that were illegally misused are being restored, the president will be subject to ongoing supervision by my office, and the Trump children had to undergo compulsory training to ensure this type of illegal activity never takes place again.”

I have never been to the mandalay arena. Looks alright though. Like a mix between Orleans and MGM Grand Garden?

Good point. Forgot about the fact that UNLV basically lets them use their arena for free.
I think the convention authority pays a discounted rent to UNLV to be accurate. In any case, yes, the MWC will have to come up with more money to move it and I think that's the major reason it's at the Thomas and Mack.

We didn’t help, but he had to put it right where he did, every time. I’d take either one of hawaii’s QBs..
It's Sanchez for voluntarily changing the momentum and allowing magic to happen. This is why I don't go to the fb games anymore. I drag my butt down there to be rewarded by this type of decision making.

Hey we got one guy that can throw and one guy that cannot. Let's use the guy that can not to go 95 yards in a minute and a half.

That's the absolute perfect explanation for UNLV football.
