Nevada is a pretty good team, despite their resume. All of the starting five are really competent and the few guys they do bring off the bench are solid as well. Marcus Marshall can shoot with literally anyone in the country. Jordan Caroline is all motor and plays bigger than his size. While Lindsay Drew isn't a massive offensive threat, he's a very competent point guard. DJ Fenner is a senior and is the real program guy in the bunch. When he's determined he can be a real pain to deal with.
Nevada's weakness might be their lack of real bigs but they make up for it well in how versatile the rest of the roster is.
I wouldn't put as much weight in some of their non-conference losses, as they were integrating transfers into the rotation that became dominant players on the team. It took them 2/3 of the season to really all find their roles and settle in.
Honestly, I think Nevada has the look of a 6 or 7 seed. You guys could have a real dog fight on your hands and I don't think the committee did you any favors in matching you up with the Pack right now. Coach is very legit, too.
For what it's worth, I am not a Nevada fan, in fact they are my teams's rival, so I don't think I'm being too biased in my little speech here.
Thanks for coming over here as well.
