  1. Yea I really don’t understand being upset even a little bit about something that is such a short term issue.
  2. So do you think there should be an arbitrary limit on total number of appeals or an arbitrary number of years in which appeals can be filed?
  3. You can’t just appeal the same issue over and over again. So you are saying that there should be some arbitrary number of total appeals a person can file? And if an appealable issue is uncovered after that arbitrary limit has already reached, too bad?
  4. Yea, which makes it really stupid that people were working themselves up over the thought of her staying another year rather than just waiting and seeing if she actually would do that.
  5. Yea… which makes it really weird that people were jumping to dumb ass conclusions that she was just going to stick around for a fifth season to pad her stats.
  6. I haven’t seen any reports that the MAC was interested in Delaware when CUSA invited them, so I don’t think they had a choice. But I think if any school actually does end up with a choice between the MAC and CUSA the MAC is clearly the better option because of the stability, even though the two are comparable in terms of on the court/field product.
  7. Due process is due process, there is no statute of limitations. If there were some arbitrary maximum number of years for appeals the state would just employ delay tactics and “run out the clock” on appellates whenever possible.
  8. A faster appeals process means more judges. Who pays for judges? Tax payers. If you want the process to go faster it either means you invest more money into the judicial system or give people less due process.
  9. You seem like an anonymous person on the internet that I know nothing about. Other than that you like Boise state and care a lot about who the President is, of course.
  10. Well, sounds like that person you were talking to didn’t know what the phuck they were talking about because she’s declared for the draft.
  11. She’s regurgitating standard ass slop you can hear from any number of conservative talking heads. Nothing even a little original about her.
  12. So the guy that doesn’t care who the President is made a thread about the President and is whining about how people don’t care enough about his thread about the President. lol
  13. LOL! Tulsi Gabbard has fallen in line, it’s just a different line. She is a generic conservative in the “Trump wing” of the GOP.
  14. So your opinion is there should be less due process? Sounds like that good ol “fear of too much justice” Brennan was talking about.
  15. I know…. and TCU was set to join the Big East and during their lame duck time in the MWC got a Big 12 invite and took that instead. The MAC has 13 schools and CUSA has 11, seems pretty reasonable to predict that the MAC will try to add a CUSA school that makes sense geographically, it’d leave both conferences with an even number of schools. I’ve seen MTSU and WKU tossed out as possibilities, but I wonder if Delaware might get looked at as well.
  16. Isn’t this like, how all of these studies work? I mean when it’s reported that “9/10 doctors recommend X” it’s not like literally every doctor was polled. Political polls were pretty accurate last few election cycles and they routinely ask only (at most) a couple thousand people out of a nation of what? Over 200M voting age citizens? I mean yea this study seems ripe for selection bias because it would have been easy to just not send invitations to specific virologists since the community seems pretty small. But I don’t know why you are so hyper focused on the sample size of the study. That seems reasonable. How the participants were chosen, on the other hand? I dunno.
  17. Why is COVID not a big issue in 2024 when it was in 2020? I dunno, maybe this graph might shed some light on that: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/#graph-deaths-daily I mean, police brutality against black people was a pretty big issue in 2020. So weird how it isn’t in 2024! Or maybe it actually isn’t that weird, because four years are in between presidential elections and shit changes a lot in four years.
  18. From the announcement of the appellate opinion the Trump team will end up having over a month to submit their brief. And then SCOTUS is giving them another month after that before oral arguments? Dumb.
  19. Looks like these folks were off by about a month in terms of when oral arguments happen. A pre-election trial just got a lot less likely.
  20. Yea, I know I know, token light criticism for the “GOP establishment/leadership”, but full throated support for the MAGA wing of the GOP; which to be clear, is most of the GOP. And I’m sure you’ll be sucking off Trump like all the “free thinking” “uniparty” folks through November.
  21. Yea I could see her or the SD Governor. Think I read they are two of the VP front runners.
