  1. And yet UCF moved up. So much for brand...or maybe you are wrong about the strength of Boise's brand?
  2. I believe they are good in FB and cross country, that's it.
  3. Most estimates place FB value at 75% of contract. KU is a top 5 MBB program all time. Their MBB performance would offset, plus at 16 schools I would guess there is so much content it becomes about driving subs, since you will have enough primo content for over the air and then some. So is KU being forever a 4-8 program really an issue that isn't offset by their hoops and the additional interest driven by reuniting them with Mizzou? KU and Mizzou are both land grant AAU's as well. If you are running the B1G your options are bring KU/Mizzou in together and net one of the top BB programs in the country or stretch all the way to the west coast and risk collapsing under your own weight in the future at 20 or so schools. Idk, I would just add KU/Mizzou. Keep it relatively regional.
  4. I watched Sons of Montezuma's recent game footage. Haskell looked so natural running read option I couldn't believe it...future is bright.
  5. I don't think AFA is all that valuable but they def aren't a bottom feeder in FB. They only have a losing record against Boise. From that perspective it doesn't look great. But at the same time you know they are leaving to more align with the schools mission. CSU, I think they believe aligning with a conference based out of texas will do more for them if/when realignment happens again. Just a hunch.
  6. Or so we think...I don't trust the "Alliance" for shit and still wonder if Mizzou joins KU in the B1G. And of course there are persistent rumors of the B1G poaching from the PAC as well. Seems we are more likely at the beginning of change then the end.
  7. Reminds me of the old WAC...it was a real good conference, but it was never the PAC.
  8. To their own budgets sure...I would think the new conference cares about more than that...like winning and tourney credits that are shared. I mean if they're BB program is supposedly so valuable...
  9. I know Memphis was hot shit and they've been recruiting well, but wasn't their last trip to the NCAAT like 2014-2015?
  10. No kidding, we may all miss it soon enough, rare as it was. Looking at the Fox rankings so far this year the MW has not done great.
  11. lol, keep talking about ten years ago...while I'm talking last fall/winter
  12. Honestly I don't think we go if Boise were just going to the AAC. Unless UNLV and/or Fresno go I think we stay. Too much travel without a significant bump in pay or excitement. Last year when the Harsin stuff started our AD was asked point blank and he basically said we're never going to the AAC...too much cost, not enough benefit.
  13. Unless the MW is no more SDSU isn't going anywhere. Our AD has been clear since Harsin started his bitching and crying last fall.
  14. They also have decent attendance and play home games at the Alamodome. I have no idea how they are in other sports but they seem to have a lot of potential in football. I used to be low on them, but if the MW added I prefer two TX schools and UTSA would def be one. It would be nice to pickup SMU, but that ain't happening. Rice and UTSA more likely.
  15. Go look at the actual pods from the WAC...the new edition wouldnt be near as bad.
  16. if we go bigger than 12 I would prefer something like pods with protected regional games...but leave the conf the flexibility with the rest of the schedule to maximize value to media partners.
  17. Joining the B1G will affirm what it seems a lot of west coast kids already believe. Real football is played in the heartland, Texas and Ohio. Maybe tOCU, Mich, PennSt and MichSt, will get all the recruits in the future instead of Bama, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee. Progress! Like I said, I hope the best programs in the PAC do this to themselves.
  18. PAC is losing most of the top regional talent to the SEC. Joining up with the BIG won't change that, having more dominant programs out west is the only solution.
  19. Yes, please let this happen. Nonsense divisions and conference mates you only play once a decade. I'm sure west coast programs that already have less engagement will totally not suffer for it. Can't wait.
  20. Looking forward to the B1G west spanning from California to Wisconsin. Good stuff.
  21. At 4 schools it will be a shitty experience, at 6 maybe not as bad but then you're in a 20 team conference that spans all of the US and each division spanning half the country. It will be the greatest own goal of all time.
  22. I really hope the top 4 PAC programs ruin themselves and their programs by joining a conference about 2000 miles from the west coast. Do it, do it, do it!!!
