  1. I agree They had Fresno State‘s president on the local sports radio station and he said that what the CSU Chancellor stated was very misleading. No final decision has been made, but it does sound very promising now that we hear more and more universities easing restrictions.
  2. And so it begins... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.oregonlive.com/coronavirus/2020/05/large-gatherings-banned-in-oregon-through-at-least-september.html%3foutputType=amp
  3. We have a Zoo in not the best part of town, but great to take smaller kids to. Agri-tourism has really taken off over the years with the Madera Wine Trail, Blossom Trail, etc. Take a drive in the summertime and check out the blossom trail where you'll find the best tasting fruit produced for the world. An old schoolhouse from the 1920s turned restaurant is a neat spot to check out to https://www.schoolhousesanger.com/. Fruit stands and farmer markets run the spring through summertime. Tower District is a cool place to go to, reminds me of San Francisco. Lots of good bars and restaurants.
  4. I don't know why so many schools like ODU, Georgia State, South Alabama, etc are FBS. The only school that makes some sense is App State because of their football success.
  5. SJSU and SDSU back to back to end the season. That’s a big if though the way this Covid-19 is going.
  6. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10159596235603502&set=a.141307788501&type=3 Here's the message from his mother which is quite moving. We all need to be taking this seriously. His late dad Dan Brown was the DC under Pat hill for many years. Great family.
  7. My first ever sporting event I remember attending was actually Kobe Bryant's NBA debut in Fresno. It was a preseason game at Selland Arena in downtown Fresno. Must have been 1996? As a child I grew up watching the Jerry Tarkanian coached bulldogs. Would hangout/tailgate in the red lot(before the soccer/lacrosse stadium was built) before the football games. First game I remember vividly was 2001 at home vs then #8 Oregon State. Was a standing room only crowd. I've only been to Candlestick once for a Fresno State/Cal football neutral site game. I've been to Pac Bell/AT&T/Oracle Park numerous times since it was built, and always try to catch a day game over the summer.
  8. Fresno state beats UC-Davis 3-2 to improve to 21-4 on the year.
  9. Absolutely. We should always cheer on our fellow MW members, especially in the big dance.
  10. Exactly. The drive from Fresno is only a 6 hour drive and a 50min plane flight but allegiant has really jacked up the prices over the years and there’s only 1 or 2 flights a day that go to Vegas. I could see a lot of Fresno fans making the drive on Friday night or Saturday morning if that were the case.
  11. Big weekend for both Fresno State(@ Arizona State) and SDSU(@ Oklahoma)
  12. The #25 Lady Dogs defeat BYU 8-0 in 5 innings Thursday night. Improve to 17-4 on the year.
  13. They can start by actually establishing a fan base. That’s where it all starts. Other than what was previously stated, I got nothing.
