Army and AAC still in talks it appears, but there are financial holdups on the deal which guess include Army's contract with CBS Sports that runs through 2028, money from AAC TV deal, and Army's OOC contracts they have signed and have to get out of.

It was sports writers more with speculation than anything else that was pushing those stories. I think it was either Wilner or Thamel who wrote about schools in the Pac was probably going to stay at 10 for at least the rest of the current football playoff contract and then maybe, maybe expand after that
-
Memphis isn't coming to MWC without a major raise and even then probably not, Gonzaga isn't coming to MWC either, if they move they want it to be to a major conference, Big East I think has a much better shot at getting Gonzaga than MWC does. They used MWC for what they wanted, they never had real interest in joining

Well in this day in realignment pretty much nothing is for sure anymore even though I agree I don't see North Carolina in B12 but just saying we have seen things people never thought they would see in this cycle
-
SEC Commish did say if they ever expanded or had to add teams they want to stay in the southeast area and wasn't looking anywhere but also said they are happy with what they have and have no plans to expand. But thing is with any expansion there has to be interest on both sides to do something, and reading between the lines on some statements to the press to me kind of sounds like B10 and SEC aren't to interested in the ACC schools that want to leave right now
-
Well San Diego St was on a list for B12 just like Boise was, Memphis was and such.
-
The next court date for the Pac-12 is going to be the week before Thanksgiving so unless something is worked out between the two sides we have a little less than two months before the next chapter on the story is started
-
In San Diego's mind they were in, per the Pac Commish and president's going in expansion had not even been discussed because there was no TV deal yet and no GoR which is what they were going to try to sign on Friday which was wishful thinking on some schools parts.

But a point that was brought up in an ESPN article I think it was, another potential issues CFP may have to deal with was with no changes to the playoff for 2024, what would they do if MWC reversed merged with OSU and WSU under Pac-12 flag, would they still be entitled to the 80% formula
-
Was trying to find it but appears there were reports coming out of meetings of OSU and WSU talking more about making a run as a two school conference which then would put the ball in CFP court if they would still get an bid or not toward the playoff. Then on another note saw that Florida St, Clemson, North Carolina and another school would leave ACC as a block when the time comes. Then of course on twitter that started stupid speculation that those four could join OSU and WSU in a new conference.

They were never close to an offer from anyone, most Aztec fans can't accept that but its true.

he is going to do whatever he is told to do by ESPN, but it will change just the matter of when it will change. The big thing will be who ends up with the contract for the playoffs which is what most of the two day meeting was about with presentations.
-
Ever since the SMU situation writers have also brought up could OSU and WSU somehow buy their way into another conference, has also been discussion on twitter about it as well. Not saying its reasonable talk but talk has been going on
-
Both WSU and OSU have made it clear over and over again their goal is to remain a P5 school and even a sliver of hope you know they will work that angle.
