  1. She and her family live at Tahoe so that would make her guilty of the fix according to your logic.
  2. https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sports/aztecs/story/2024-01-11/san-diego-state-sdsu-aztecs-mountain-west-pac-12-football-scheduling-agreement-poaching-penalties "The agreement references negotiations over the next two years “as promptly as reasonably practicable” for a reverse merger of the entire Mountain West into the Pac-12 starting in 2025-26 or 2026-27 “with no (Mountain West) exit fee payable.” Nevarez expects those discussions to begin in earnest in the coming months."
  3. According to Murray the average conference distribution check for 2023 will be about 7 million. How both of the Mountain West's commissioners paved the way to keep the conference intact https://nevadasportsnet.com/newsletter-daily/how-both-of-the-mountain-wests-commissioners-paved-the-way-to-keep-the-conference-intact
  4. There is also a 5.5 million penalty on top of that for not inviting all 12 conference teams. I believe it's correct because it was reported after and interview with Gloria Nevarez yesterday.
  5. Poaching the first school will cost them about 48.7 million or 32.1 million and go up from there for additional schools. That's not going to happen. “I remember one AD saying, ‘Now is not the time to leave anyone behind.’”
  6. It looks like this agreement will force the Pac-2 to merge or join the MWC in the next 2-3 years. Nevarez is not to be f-d around with or you'll find out.
  7. "There is a “withdrawal fee” starting at $10 million to invite just one Mountain West school, and it escalates steeply from there. Two schools trigger $20.5 million in penalties from the Pac-12. Five, $55 million. Eleven, $137.5 million. There’s an additional $5.5 million “termination fee” if Pac-12 offers membership to anyone — but not everyone — from the Mountain West. The poaching penalties don’t include the Mountain West exit fees already in place, which last year were $16.6 million with more than a year’s notice and $33.2 million inside that. And those likely will increase this year, thanks to the football scheduling alliance"
  8. Inside the Mountain West, Pac-12 contract: Why it could cost Oregon State, Washington State nearly $140M to poach MW https://nevadasportsnet.com/news/reporters/inside-the-mountain-west-pac-12-contract-why-it-could-cost-oregon-state-washington-state-nearly-140m-to-poach-mw#
  9. Nick Daschel @nickdaschel · 6h Here's a look at the Mountain West-Pac-12 football scheduling agreement, and the hefty price tag if MWC schools leave for the Pac-12 before Aug. 2027 (contract embedded in story) https://x.com/nickdaschel/status/1744899574475673953?s=20
  10. Cost of rebuilding Pac-12 using Mountain West schools could exceed $50 million in fees https://www.oregonlive.com/beavers/2024/01/cost-of-rebuilding-pac-12-using-mountain-west-schools-could-exceed-50-million-in-fees.html
  11. Murray sums it up pretty well for me. I would just add this could lead to the destabilization of the Conference. Time to stop helping them out and treat them as potential raiders. If 4-6 teams stick together we will win. Why the latest conference realignment news could be bad for Nevada Wolf Pack athletics. https://nevadasportsnet.com/news/reporters/why-the-latest-conference-realignment-news-could-be-bad-for-nevada-wolf-pack-athletics
  12. These guys have been pretty accurate so I guess their sources are well positioned insiders.
  13. In order to fund players with NIL money at current levels it would have to increase by 100%. The money to fund college sports will become prohibitive for the vast majority of colleges at this new division.
  14. It states that under this proposal the schools would establish the NIL deals with athletes. There is where Title IX would force schools to share that NIL money at 50% with the women. Can you imagine a female college athlete making a million in a sport that very few have interest in or watch.
  15. Thanks that explained more clearly what Baker was talking about. However I would like to read something defining the law-suit and its relation to NIL money.
