  1. I mean if the guy get's a Louisville offer he should take it. Seriously , no hard feelings and thanks for getting things back on track, but really Louisville? Maybe I'm overrating it, but that seems like a top 10-15 job in the country, and shooting for a guy with a mediocre P6 tenure and a only pretty good G5 tenure is strange. This has to be last name driven but even that would be weird considering his dad didn't leave on good terms
  2. Interesting 6 seed. Zero votes in the latest AP Poll. Up and down year, started 9-0, started 4-6 in ACC Play, before winning 6 of their next 7 including being the only team to beat UNC at The Dean Dome this year. They're entering this tournament losing 3 of 4 though and those were to Notre Dame, Wake, and Boston College. Also Kenpom isn't the end all be all, but how often to you see an 11 seed 11 spots better than their 6 seed opponent. I guess Memphis is closer to Clemson than Albuquerque, but I don't expect The Lobos to lack in fans. I really don't Clemson will be much of a favorite, and I'm curious to see that point spread (maybe I'll look stupid in a couple days). They do without a doubt have the best player on the court though in PJ Hall. A top 5 big in America
  3. Lobos 11 spots better than Clemson in Kenpom. Seeding is crap and shows we would have been out if we didn't win yesterday, but I really think we pull that off
  4. Well Rammies have experience with San Diego State, better Virginia. You'll be ready
  5. The Edey of The MWC vs Edey possible in Round 2. A lot of fouls are gonna happen
  6. Florida did just lose a key big though
  7. Holy shit! 5 minutes away from being a half for the ages for LeDee and we clamp down. JT +++++ING TOPPPIN!!!!!!!
  8. PSA the first Big Ten Semi is in OT. Very likely means the second semi is gonna cut into our broadcast. So be prepared for Paramount+ or the link CBS always puts out when this happens
  9. TV. CBS Sports network had 6 games yesterday and we were unfortunately the last one It moved 30 minutes later a few years ago, but that 2nd semifinal been 9:30/10 for over a decade now
  10. Obviously the title and the auto bids are the most important thing tomorrow, but a small bonus to winning would be the fact that right after our game, NC State is one win away from one of the coolest conference tournament runs ever, and it'd be awesome to root for them without worrying about bid thieves
  11. Dude has played almost 100 minutes in 3 days. Hopefully Stevens is just tired and not bothered by something serious. He needs to play next week
  12. Both teams have a decent job getting guys a little rest, no one on UNM has played more than 61 minutes through 2 games. The one major exception is Stevens who's played 77 already and is probably gonna get little rest tonight.
  13. Random stat, but this will be the first time a team who played on Wednesday will make the title game
  14. I've read the "it's hard to beat a good team 3 times" cliche is fishy and largely unfounded, but I'm choosing to believe it's an immutable law of physics tonight. Chance to dance is in our hands, grab it
  15. I mean a UNLV/Fresno semifinal would be good for 7 bid league hopes
  16. I know he's been crushing dreams with that shot all season, but there was time for a better one
  17. I really don't get the root against your team attitude. Edwards still got fired when Wyoming made a fun run to the semis as an 11 seed and Duryea got fired despite USU reaching the semis as a 7 seed. An uncontracted coach is not get extended after a 9th place finish, just because he pulled one upset. Just root on your guys to do something cool
  18. FWIW you do have to go all the way back to 2004 to find the last time a one seed lost a quarterfinal in this tournament, but they have gotten quite a few tests 10 of the last 15 years this game has been within single digits, and 3 years in a row the 1 seed has only won by a single possession
  19. Alright this has reached "Oooh look Fresno's hanging around a bit", to "could this actually happen" territory
  20. Seems like teams who play the early round tend to get a bit of early momentum in the quarterfinal before the talent gap catches up to them. Wonder if that benefits CSU and UNM tonight
  21. When you enter a tourney 2-16, all you can ask for is a fight and you did it Spartans, good effort , but congrats on avoiding the final stumbling block Rammies
  22. Wow. Pokes hit what seemed like a dagger 3 with 3:20 to go. They didn't hit another field goal

  24. Thread is kinda devolving here. I do think The Aggies are gonna be looking at a tossup 7/10 game and have little to no chance at the 2nd weekend, but who cares? Winning a league title with this squad is nothing short of a incredible accomplishment. Congrats
