  1. Good luck to Brennan in Tucson. Can't blame him for getting paid. Hoping they replace him with one of Derrick Odum, Alonzo Carter, or Donte Williams, in that order.
  2. None of the teams were world breakers, they all had their flaws. But if believing that the only team of the three tied for first to lose to two non bowl teams is the clear number one is what you need to feel good about your season, I'm not going to take that away from you. Congrats on your MWC championship.
  3. I think San Jose State could have beaten Boise in a rematch. If they had won one of those three games in which they collapsed early in the year, they would have gotten the opportunity to prove it. But they did not. No excuses. It is concerning that it took until after the second bye week for the coaching staff to understand what they had and use it effectively. Hopefully it will be something to grow from and the experience will lead to better outcomes in the future. I'm still not a fan of the move away from divisions, though.
  4. Has Colorado State considering firing Norvel for a new coach? I hear Odom's name thrown around a lot. Maybe they can pick up some players in the transfer portal, too. That's bound to get them more wins.
  5. I guess somebody in web development recently read The Secret.
  6. I'd prefer going back to divisions to maintain rivalries I actually care about instead of made up ones. San Jose State is playing well but deserves to be punished for their early season collapses. That being said, this tiebreaker system is still stupid. Congrats to Boise State for making the CCG and go Rebels.
  7. Rivalry week should be the same every year: Boise State vs Nevada San Jose State vs Fresno State Hawaii vs Wyoming San Diego State vs UNLV Colorado State vs Utah State Air Force vs New Mexico
  8. I know that it's probably because of the PAC Network, but LMFAO @ Berkeley.
  9. I'm looking forward to a good game.
  10. Bold predictions thread? The Aztecs will beat the Bulldogs.
  11. It looks like several of those computers don't update until Monday. I wonder if the MWC will use this week's composite or leave everyone up in the air until everything is updated.
  12. He copied my post but still put that Colley was stale after updating it then left it out of order? He also updated Air Force and UNLV in Wolfe but not Boise and San Jose. Weird.
  13. If that's the case, UNLV is likely in as the 1 seed win or lose. Air Force would be the 2 seed with a win and out with a loss. Boise State should be cheering for a UNLV win because a San Jose State win makes things murky.
  14. Anderson & Hester (stale): 34 UNLV 45 Air Force 75 San Jose State 81 Boise State Massey: 61 UNLV 63 Boise State 67 Air Force 83 San Jose State Colley (stale): 30 UNLV 38 Air Force 71 San Jose State 73 Boise State Wolfe (stale): 29 UNLV 45 Air Force 67 San Jose State 73 Boise State I doubt the win over San Diego State would boost San Jose State significantly in the 3 rankings that haven't updated yet. And it would surprise me if a win over UNLV would make up a 20-40 place difference on average. So most likely the second tiebreaker puts UNLV in the championship even with a loss which turns it into a two team tie for second. Air Force and Boise both have the head to head so I think the Spartans are out of the running.
  15. I think San Jose State was basically eliminated by New Mexico beating Fresno State. UNLV will almost certainly have the highest composite computer ranking at 9-3 overall. Then the next tiebreaker would be head to head which San Jose State would lose against either Air Force or Boise State.
  16. I expected UNLV to be able to pull off the win in Fresno, but the third quarter and their last two offensive plays proved me wrong. I still expect them to be able to win in Colorado Springs against a reeling Air Force. We'll see if they let me down again. That being said, the way teams are playing right now: Nevada Southern San Jose State CSU Fresno Boise State Wyoming Utah State Air Force Colorado State Hawaii UNR New Mexico San Diego State
  17. While there isn't an elite team, I'd argue that the middle of the conference is stronger than it has been in a few years.
  18. Far be it from me to defend Berkeley, but I'm pretty sure they were protesting about having their stalker professor reinstated.
  19. Still. Even if we're assuming that San Diego State is off to bigger and better things, why New Mexico? Hawaii makes more sense. Even UNR or Utah State. But New Mexico?
  20. Toledo wasn't all that great. But you know that the transitive property doesn't work that well in CFB.
  21. MWC doesn't have divisions anymore. Just really poorly thought out protected rivalries.
  22. Fresno State. UNLV finally manages to pull it off and eliminates the bulldogs Bulldogs from CCG contention.
