  1. I think it will ultimately be 4, unless we get a surprise/not surprise UNLV tourney win. I'm hopeful that UNM won't be that team that fades down the stretch. They're going to need to steal at the minimum one of these road games and hold serve at home to feel safe imo.
  2. So I'm like a week late and a dollar short in this thread because I was in DC all week because of work. Seems like almost everything has been said but would just emphasize that this game was absolutely about what UNLV did, not what UNM didn't do. Although UNM absolutely needs more from Nelly if they are going to do anything moving forward. Based on watching every team, UNM matches up the worst with BSU and UNLV in conference play. It's not to say they won't lose some of these roadies, but I think they match up better with USU, Nevada, and SDSU. We'll see if that theory holds up. Could be the difference between a tourney bid or not.
  3. He looks like he has gout. Good win for the fighting Alfords!
  4. Or a pizza delivery boy who attempted to deliver a pizza to them in the mid 2000s.
  5. I'm the most surprised that a basketball player actually threw a proper punch for once.
  6. Thanks. I always learn a lot from your posts. Lots of killer watches that are posted
  7. I think UNM will be right in the mix for the MWC title. Need to steal a couple on the road.
  8. Not usually a huge dress watch guy, but I reallly like this microbrand Armand Nicolet I picked up. I usually avoid deeply discounted watches, but you can pick these up relatively cheaply and they punch way above their price. Work horse ETA Caliber 2824-2. Really nice finishes for well under 1k and imo a really attractive dial.
  9. Busy couple of work days, so I didn't get to watch in real time. Watched it this morning. 1.) Max Rice went berserker. Kid would be an All-American if he played only UNM. 2.) UNM's bigs were outplayed and Boise was much better on the glass. Stanley killed UNM and owned the boards 3.) Crying Leon went to that 1-3 and it completely stumped UNM. Boise is probably the worst matchup for UNM in conference (big wings that can shoot, good in a halfcourt set, well-coached, gritty and experienced. As good as Dent is, as House goes so does UNM. Good game. Look forward to the rematch.
  10. Dutcher stole Joe Scott's testosterone injections this year. That was an epic whiteboard smash.
  11. You're getting your wish. They're calling this like a Big East game from the 90s.
  12. They have two tickets to Laradise next Tuesday.
  13. There's underachieving and getting boat-raced at home against AF.
  14. UNLV's schizophrenia could cost the conference a bid. Honestly, I wish they would play to potential or just lose the +++++ out and fire Lil' Kevin. Pick a lane.
  15. I love House lol. In the era of NIL and 19 year old kids making "business decisions" kid is a tornado of emotion and heart.
  16. They also blew out AF and SJSU on the road.
  17. Things can change, but UNM is the best team in the conference right now.
  18. I've been sort of lurking in this thread for awhile. One of my favorites. Some really knowledgeable posters with some incredibly nice time pieces. I have a few day wear watches I rotate through. The one that's on my wrist most frequently lately is a 43mm green gradient Tissot Seastar Powermatic 80. Cheers
  19. This has to be a mistake. Albuquerque is awful. It's nothing but meth and people who look like Snake here. There isn't relatively affordable housing here. There isn't access to uncrowded mountains 10 to 15 minutes away from the downtown. There isn't an underrated brewery scene. There isn't world class skiing 2 hours North. There isn't the Valles Caldera an hour and a half away. There aren't relatively progressive politics without looking like the Peoples Republic of Boulder. Nothing to see here retiring California Baby Boomers. I'd stick with the front range like all of your buddies.
  20. A Lobos/Johnnies first rounder would be spicy.
  21. It feels like this team has really figured out how to play together. Both House and Mashburn seem to be striking a pretty good balance. Both hit big shots to end runs by SJSU. Dent has been phenomenal over these past 4 games. Lots of basketball left to be played, but it's night and day difference from what we saw @CSU and @UNLV.
  22. It's going to be interesting to see what happens moving forward. On paper, this was supposed to be the "easy" conference stretch for UNLV (AF, @SJSU, Fresno, Wyoming).
  23. WTF Rebels? I checked scores this morning and thought someone had +++++ed up the boxscore
