  1. Big win for the Rammies tonight. Not going to lie, I was sweating this one going in, but CSU continues to show that experience and coaching can make up for deficiencies in athleticism. I'm looking forward to the rematch at the Pit.
  2. CSU can't afford to overlook anyone. We've done well because of attention to detail and respecting every opponent. Hopefully that continues.
  3. Any unequal revenue share should be performance based and should be assessed on a year to year basis including all programs. Doing the deal with Boise back then didn't make a lot of sense and it makes even less sense now.
  4. BFN played really with the notable exception of 2 very bad INTs. Without those 2 turnovers, the score wouldn't have been as close as it was. I'm ok with the performance last night but BFN needs to tighten things up a little bit, and I think that exactly what we'll see next week in Logan. Kid just has the "it" factor.
  5. I never said that Gonzaga "needed" to be part of the MWC to survive, but long term, I think it would benefit their program and their school more to be part of a more mainstream conference than the WCC. I believe the MWC could make them an attracitve offer to jump on board too. Probably pie-in-the-sky, but that would move the needle for the MWC more than any other school out there.
  6. The MWC is still around right? Shouldn't be that hard to explain... And while I was against disproportionate revenue sharing for Boise, I also understood why it made sense. The same would hold true for the Zags. They would move the needle more than any other program out there, so I think it would be fair to offer them a preferential slice of pie bigger than what they can currently get. The benefits would far outweigh the costs.
  7. A better conference schedule for starters. As is, the Zags have to schedule ridiculous OOC games just to have a respectable SOS. In the MWC, OOC games wouldn't be as crucial. Outside of that, I would be ok offering the Zags a slice of football revenue that they currently don't receive to make the jump understanding that long term, the benefits of having them in the conference would far outweigh the cost.
  8. I don't think getting Gonzaga is a pipe dream... get creative. It would be worth it.
  9. I think the only move the should be made right now is to land Gonzaga and Wichita St. They are the most valuable properties available right now even though they don't play football. Get those two, and poaching from the AAC will make a lot more sense for the remaining schools. Then strategically pick of the schools that you want.
  10. Bad teams find ways to lose... and we did.2 pick 6's and a GW TD called back on a stupid penalty.
  11. Agreed... there was definitely a level of subjectivity to the call and its too bad a great play was denied because of it. Good luck to USU though... no doubt, that was the outcome the conference wanted.
  12. I know I'm biased, but taking great plays away from great players is the bigger tragedy here. I understand rules are rules, but holding doesn't get called on every player either, when it probably could. Refs should let the players decide the outcome on the field.
  13. You decide for yourself... not sure how this call was even made in real time.. https://twitter.com/KellyLyell/status/1063920776489955329
  14. I don't think it was obvious at all.. the db pushed the WR toward the sidelines and the ref easily could have said it was that momentum that caused him to step on the line. As I said before, there were no unfair advantages that happened because he stepped on the line and therefore could/should have been a no call.
  15. I guess the refs should call holding on every play too since it happens every play, right?
  16. I agree.. there's a difference between the letter of the law and the intent of the law.. this should have been a non call just like the refs only actually call half of the holding penalties that ever occur. Williams gained no unfair advantage by having half of his foot hit the line and the refs robbed a great player of a great play. Good job zebras. You suck.
  17. Kendle Moore wins Freshman of the Year.
  18. No doubt its a big game for both teams. The winner has life in the division race and I don't think that something either program was thinking a couple weeks ago. Should be a fun one!
  19. I can't put CSU this high, but the win this week gives me hope that we may be able to eek out 6 wins and a bowl game. CSU has the talent to play with everyone left on their schedule. They just haven't put all the pieces together yet. The UNM game this weekend just got a lot more interesting.
  20. I wouldn't ever go so far as to say that the NCAA needs to expand by 32, but I certainly wouldn't argue with adding 2 or 4 more play-in games, especially if it means more G5s in the tourney since there is clearly an agenda there. How else do you explain 19-15 Vandy getting in over 28-7 Illinois St?
  21. I've never been in favor of expanding the NCAA tournament in the past because I don't believe in a watered down product. That being said, if that's what it takes to keep top level G5s from getting snubbed annually, I'm all for it.
