Guys, I’m not a psycho. People are different. I assure you I would have no problem executing Hitler and cleaning it up afterwards. I wouldn’t apply for that job, but if it had to be done some people would step up and be okay with it.

You would do it, but I highly doubt you would be ok with it. It would haunt you. I've seen first hand the ramifications of good people dealing with taking a life even if it was justified.  It's not as easy as you think.

Dude, I taught that content for three decades. I had way better videos. lol

Populism is much broader than the experience of the U.S. and far more than an era of our modern history.   It's phenomena that is a global trend in the post-Cold War era.  It was nice to see the dude in Brazil get bounced and the psycho in the P.I. termed out recently, but it's still here and many wheres. Feel free to do some research.

Queue akkulas claim that he has a masters degree in post modern political thought.

Maybe you have missed things since lately.  Obamacare is thriving. No real federal tax cuts for 6 years for the rich and kind of the opposite recently.  Deregulation sort of fizzled.  Republicans aren't really doing any governing at the federal level.  They are a mess now.

The states are all a mix, but the locus of energy are the populist issues.  You should see how the Idaho Leg is beginning their agenda.  Sheesh.

Their anti ukraine war comments are even all populist. It's not that we can't afford it, it's that the money should go to Americans not Ukrainians

  4. Sorry to hear about your friend.

One of our 24 year old drafters just got an all clear on his last scan for testicular cancer. After several rounds of chemo and radiation he's cancer free.

Nikki is at the top of the list for establishment, corporate, deep state candidate. Advocate for generational military conflict engagement, intelligence spying on Americans, and supported MWC and social media identity validation.  It won’t be long and you will need to send Jeff a pic of your drivers license.

I'd rather have a neo-con than a populist any day of the week.

well that and he's closed the black sea/dardenelles to russian war boats so seeing someone else getting whooped on for closing straits is probably making him not feel real awesome

They FaFo. Everybody should know by now America and the UK are willing to turn a blind eye towards slavery but you start messing with our trade routes and we take it personal.

Erdogan said it was a disproportionate use of force. We should have only thrown some snow balls at them apparently.

I realize you want SDSU out of the MW so you are viewing this through that lense, however, Gloria has done well in this process.

The $5.5M from the PAC protects the conference. I doubt very many people care that it wasn't included in press releases.  Presidents and ADs have to have known about that and if they didn't then they should be fired by their universities.

Like @HR_Poke mentioned, this agreement was about the scheduling agreement with the PAC.  Universities already know what their exit fees are due to conference by-laws.

There is nothing nefarious going on here and I don't see why anyone would be upset with Gloria for protecting the conference

    This!

Her job is to protect the conference, not make it easy for sdsu to bail.

I'll just say this appears to be yet another example of the mismanagement of THE Mountain West Conference.

Until now, I thought Gloria Nevarez was better than this. One, this agreement should have been divulged more than a month ago. The fact it required the media to make a public documents request to hear about it smacks of covert operations. Second, its ambiguity also smacks of covert operations. I hope to hell the MWC now gets sufficient backlash that Nevarez is forced to explain exactly how much members departing to the Pac will be on the hook for over the two years of this new agreement.

how do you know they aren't already aware?  The presidents would have signed this or agreed to it in a meeting.  The general public didn't know and frankly who cares?  Joe Schmoe small time booster on a message board doesn't need to know exactly how much money his school needs to pony up to leave the conference.

Sorry but that makes no sense to me. If that was the case, rather than the Pac owing the MWC $20.5M for the first deserter, the agreement could simply have provided for the Pac owing the MWC $26M for the first departer, etc and nothing at all said about departing members owing the MWC anything.

It's two separate agreements.  One between the PAC2 and MWC and one between the MWC and member institution.  A scheduling agreement between two conferences isn't going to supersede the bylaws and contract between a school and the conference it is a member of.

Wealth taxes are inefficient and way too problematic to work.   @Maji can explain :).

Some policy proposals are simply political.   That goes for states as well as the federal level.

@bsu_alum9, I looked up WA's capital gains tax. A fair amount of details including written as an excise tax.  I would guess the impetus behind it is a view of equity.  WA has historically had one of the most regressive tax structures among the 50 states.  Chiefly, no state income tax which seems another reason for the capital gains tax above $250k as a means to tax the wealthy.

Beyond the constitutionality of taxing wealth.  Valuation of assets would be so subjective, I mean look at housing appraisals.  You can get 3 different appraisers and 3 wildly different valuations.  I also would think a lot of these billionaires would have the resources to fight valuations in court to reduce their tax burdens.  So the state is going to spend more money to gain less revenue than what they expected.

I've been on the lower west side in D for about 10 years and at first there were a lot of "shushy mcbluehairs" around us but that has changed quite a bit over the last 4-5 seasons. Last year when the idea of club/loge seating was offered I was pretty disappointed, just not the Wyoming identity in my opinion. Had the same thoughts about the Wildcatter too.

The wildcatter was well overdue.  Ideally I would have made it the entire width of the upper deck instead of 3/4 of it.  The seats in the corner are rarely used and now are partially blocked by the suites.  I had hoped with the press box renovation that they would add more suites on the west side.  Not that I can ever afford them, but its a great way to get a lot of money into the program even from people that aren't interested in the game.

do you propose some sort of coordinate system to measure that?

I can help make it more efficient.  Just need everyone in two lines tip to tip so that each push and pull is maximized to provide a stroke to at least 4 at a time.
