  1.  I read somewhere that Nevada might increase coaching salary to at least $1.6 million for the right hire( if there is such a thing) and increase assistant pool from low $1 million now to $2.5 million to $3 million.  Remeber the University increased the athletic budget by $10 million,  plus private money will show up for a precieved homerun hire.

  2. I feel like the PAC⁴ might just wait until the end of the season. Then see who has the better of the football season.  Then while the iron is hot talk to media outlets to see who will bring in The most value.  I don't think past season will weigh heavily as much as who is hot now, who is Cinderella, who can build a brand.

I think GN would end up getting the comish role in this merger and GK ends up in some supportive executive role (though I hope it's not tied to media negotiations).

Yeah I don't think the Presidents of a new pac will allow him to be anywhere near the table with tv executives.

This was my prediction in the what happens to the PAC thread and would be awesome to see come to fruition.

I would assume things like tourney credits could be carried over with a formal merger of the two?

So is GN supposed to accept this proposal then step down?  Who becomes commissioner?

Okay, we're listening, what's the "other side"?

Why won't you take the vaccine?

I don't put things in my body that I don't want.  The reasons don't matter, if I don't want it in my body.  I have taken the flu vaccine before. And won't do it again unless it became law somehow.

No it is consequences of a choice. No segregation there. We have a vaccine administered to 70% of our population and the entirety of the medical community. If you choose to not get on that bus, you accept the social consequences for that decision. You are segregating yourself if you choose to see it that way.

Again, it is a question of social responsibility.

70% is perfect. Eventually herd immunity should kick in.  We just have crossed eyes.  Forcing without crossing the line. Segregation without  saying that word.

We are beyond carrot. As many demonstrated via their concern, the only working thing is the stick for these people. Make them choose between jobs, live sports, restaurants, bars, schools, daycare, healthcare, movies, etc. Completely isolate them. Get the vax passport going right now. It is not a time to coddle snowflakes who don't want a sore arm and want to believe questionable science cause it makes them feel good. It is time to do the socially responsible thing. America can end this right now. It isn't about carrots. They don't care about carrots. Shut them out. They still get to choose to be shut out.

See now this is were the "choices" start to change to "force".  This is where segregation starts to happen.

I respect you believe that, even if I disregard with your assessment. I do not believe you are taking the socially or morally responsible position in this instance. But you don't have to agree with me on that. It's agreeing to disagree.

Your right, I did say 9 out of 10.

It is true. I feel it as truly as you feel "Muh Freedoms."

Don't disregard my beliefs. I have not yet disregarded your beliefs, just your logic. Don't be insulting.

Not disregarding beliefs, sounded like your were attacking with morales. My morales are good. I am socially conscious and make sure I do the right thing 9 out of 10, Even if its not for my way, so I think I am good there too. So I will apologize if you felt attacked or insulted.

And I mean it. I still think you are being obtuse, socially and morally irresponsible, and contributing to putting myself and family in further danger, but I do not wish ill will on you. I think, or hope, you would find a universal similar attitude.

Y'all gotta stop with that morally this and socially that... that shit is straight up jokes.

I guess - it's your choice to expose yourself to disease & keel over - Just have the $$ to pay the medical bills - It's along the "personal responsibility" lines - Also good to have your will up to date !

See these poor people dying & I doubt they have their affairs in order

Yes, yes it is my choice. We all keel over some time.  I have my family covered they good to go.

FFS I'm age 61......280 -290 pounds & when I had the chance to Vax I went no problems

Now granted, I'm the epitome of health & clean living, but getting the vaccine was a pleasure I's do again

That is awesome. I am glad for you to chose to get vaccinated because you feel safe and protected to have that.  I am not in the same boat.  I chose to change my lifestyle  for the better and believe my body will fight for me because I chose to give it a fighting chance.

Health insurers do ask how much one drinks............just like cars, the more expensive & faster car the higher the premiums

If insurers would raise the rates, more people would change their tune ......of just go on paying more - Companies who insure their employees should pass it on to that employee

Still a choice man.  That is my main point.  Who actually says "I am a heavy drinker" on their insurance?  I never said it is wrong or right to get a shot.

I just got Progressive, and you can sign up for the "Snapshot" which is an app on your phone that tracks all your driving for 6 months to adjust your premiums (hopefully downward). They absolutely track phone usage. They are probably on the cutting edge of this so expect it to be ubiquitous before long.

And yes lifestyle choices will probably factor into health insurance premiums before too long. It a cost/risk analysis for "for profit" insurance. Want to avoid that? Probably want to support socialized medicine then. Only way you would actually have any say in the insurance standards. The private will get stricter and stricter to avoid costs and increase profit.

Currently a choice right, to get snap shot?

As SharkTanked indicated, the vax is overwhelming preventing death, not to mention hospitalizations.

The benefit of that cannot be overstated. So yes, it IS a gamechanger. If the idiots would get vaccinated.

I had minimally invasive diaphragmatic plication of my right hemidiaphragm this morning at 0700 (with the Da Vinci robot. COOL. Ready to transfer to a surgical bed at 11am. A bed finally opened at 7pm. This was considered not elective because of how difficult to breath it was with my diaphragm organs all the way up into my right middle lobe.

So I have a very personal reason to be pissed off at the selfish, ignorant jackass antivaxers! My PACU nurse was backed up. I didn't get to eat until 6:30pm, a 23 hour fast.

And damnitall but coughing is EXCRUCIATING! I hadn't expected that to be so tough even with a pillow for splinting. The NO2 gas used to help push things around.OUCH

    And +++++ YOU ANTIVAXXERS!

Sorry you have medical complications and had to go through that but... Still a choice for those to not vaccinate. Not anymore selfish than those that want to force others to vaccinate against there will.

i"m hoping that health insurers raise the premiums on non vaxed people (unless they can medically prove a reason not to) - Smokers pay higher premiums because of the obvious risk return ratio - So raise the premiums a $100 / month on those refusing to vax

It's like wearing a seatbelt......yes an accident might be are, but wearing a seatbelt reduces serious costly injuries

Wanna smoke, pay more........don't want the vax pay more

That's dumb... do you phone while driving.  Insurance should raise premiums because you have a cell phone. Likelihood of driving while using is at a high rate.  Do you have a "regular" diet? You are more likely to have health issues raise your premiums.   Do you drink? Raise your premiums.  Do you own a gun?  Raise your liability coverages.
