I would be surprised if it works out for a school. I was surprised he didn’t quit on Colorado this year. If you have a coach that is willing to treat him differently than his teammates and doesn’t force a conditioning program on him, you might be ok.

His fat ass did plenty this year. I'm always amazed how terrible players are when the fans of the school he left want to chime in. But I'm guessing any new transfer into TCU magically becomes a community pillar and superstar according to those same fans.

One more season before he moves back in with his mom and she makes all of his life decisions.

If he can get a along with the team and help us, don't care about the rest. I think he only has 1 year left.

Those idiots were quickly and extra judicially dealt with. Had their season tixx revoked and are banned from all Arena Events and other properties owned by Jazz

Don't sweat that guy. He's here to troll utenation rather than add content.  Somehow he thinks I'm attacking Idaho and putting Utah on a pedistool.  Truthfully, I just feel really bad for all the victims of this ongoing problem in Northern Idaho. Bombs, kids being shot and held hostage, JFC.  I think Idaho is doing their best as a state to fix this but it's clear some shady politics are stopping that process.

Short of going full WACO(terrible decision making btw) with the Feds, I don't know what the answer is.

I rarely disagree with your views but in this I do. You speak of new Mexico demographics, or lack thereof, as reasoning not to invite UTEP. But I don't think Montana is any better in that regard. I agree in taking one of them.  UM would be the logical choice to me. But if we're looking at MSU as well, there's no reason not to look at UTEP.  On reflection I'd really like to get Montana. Our product differentiation is that were regional

You should always ask what exactly will a school add to a conference.

Another unperforming athletic department mouth to feed is not a good answer.

Spokane has the hotels, just bet Utah got better rates in Couer d’Alene and is less “homely” than Spokane.

It was previously mentioned that there was some type of volleyball event in Spokane and all the hotels were booked.

Utah was there on business and would prefer to stay as close to the arena as possible. Price was not an issue.

I banned bob. But the way I did it he can still react to things. I told Bob he's welcome to make a new account, but Bob the air force fan handle is lost to history. He's decided he'd rather be a react only lurker which.... I gotta give him props is a goddamn hilarious choice.

Yeah, I knew he got tossed. Just thought we was let back in when I saw his reaction. I guess we’ll see how long Pride holds out on a new handle.

But even today I’d still be the quarterback and short stop on the MWboard team. It’s nice to have hobbies like walking in the woods and sliding down manicured slopes.

And if we’re gonna take that beach you’re gonna get on my ass. Doesn’t mean I have to like it.

You really don’t have to convince me. I’ve always been a fan of yours. AKA Johnny Utah.

    here's your chance....

Eddie Lampkin Jr. was a senior at Colorado this past season. However, due to the 2020-21 season not counting against eligibility, the 6-foot-11, 265-pound center still has another year to compete at the college level before beginning his professional career.

"Colorado's Eddie Lampkin tells me that he plans to enter the transfer portal," CBS Sports insider Jon Rothstein posted on Wednesday morning.

So, chants of "Eddie!, Eddie!, Eddie!" from Buffs fans will not be echoing across arenas during the 2024-25 season.

Even if we only get him for a year it would be worth it. We lose our best big this year.

Coeur d’Alene isn’t “local” for me. I can drive to Salt Lake faster than I can to the panhandle. Lol.

    @Bob

When I said local, meaning Idaho. Most people on the board aren’t in Idaho. Not a shot at your specific area in Idaho.

It would be flat out scary to have to navigate those politics if you weren’t crazy and lived in the area.  It might be too bad in the first place to live there even being beautiful.

Btw, Bob has been pretty quiet on this thread other than liking the post that said these women in the situation are just being crybabies.

    LOL.

One more point I’d like to make. The morons on the far right are so bent out of shape about things like transgender athletes yet they say events like what transpired in CDA are not a big deal. What do you all think happens more in our society today - a trans-athlete running track or an event like what happened in CDA? I’d venture to guess one is FAR more prevalent than the other. And one of these involves a victim and a perp while the other doesn’t.

Here’s some reaction from your local far right. I saw the first guy mentioned in the press conference the other day ranting and was shut down by city officials.

Lawlorsissy, let me introduce you to @Slapdad. He won’t ride a bike outfitted with clipless pedals because he’s an under-testosteroned fop just like you. You two should head out to the nearest walking distance bar ASAP and bond over a pitcher of booze-free beer.

I had no idea @thelawlorfaithful was this soft.  You have fans here that are hard core skiers, you live in the outdoors all the time, former law enforcement etc.

I kinda pictured you guys as a rough and rowdy mountain men from Reno.

But then you have grandpa scared of driving and gets white knuckled going through a crosswalk on a bike.

Thelawlor and I talk movies all the time but I might have to change my thinking.

They watch SDSU.  Believe me, they watch SDSU.  The talking heads like to prattle on about the MWC (at least this last season), and they talk SDSU, USU, CSU, UNM, etc.  I've heard them mention that even UNLV can be dangerous.

Not the face of the conference anymore.  That lies in San Diego.

    How is this even debatable?

Im pretty sure most people see the Aztecs as the face of the conference for hoops (outside of Vegas). SDSU would have been a 1 seed in 2020, they get the respect.

    Bingo.

    Jeebus.

“On Sept. 15, 1986, a bomb exploded outside the back door of the home of Bill Wassmuth, a priest at St. Pius X. The bombing was later connected to the Aryan Nations. Wassmuth had become the leader of the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations two years prior and received threats.

He survived the blast but was shaken.

Stewart and the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations were instrumental in the civil lawsuit that awarded $6.3 million to Victoria and Jason Keenan, a mother and son who had been shot at and held at gunpoint by Aryan Nations security guards.”

no.  They play almost all of them at the Prudential Center

Then I’m guessing there is hockey games or something more important going on tonight at the Prudential Center.

I mean I don’t normally bag on facilities but the place tonight looks childish.

It will have an impact. The mayor, city council, and business community have a lot to lose from this shit but the ones who will ultimately feel it the most are the service-level employees who could lose their jobs. Sad consequences of ignorance and hate but maybe it will help act as a forcing function for people to turn out in mass to push back against the nut jobs.

The social microscope of these things is greater than ever.

Hopefully a happy ending to this event will happen if these guys are rightfully caught and dealt with. With the hope that they are working on the problem(s).

You aren’t going to see any pushback and further media attention from the U of U on this. Our AD has made it clear we won’t ever be put in this situation again going forward.

You gonna use this as an opportunity to go into roid rage? Please don't

Absolutely. I had no idea of the layers of complexity going on in Idaho.

We have pockets of weird rednecks, polygamists and some radicals.

Derogatory and racial slurs are a common occurrence at Jazz games but +++++ Idaho, right?

    Are they?

I only recall 1 situation several years ago and that person was banned for life. Show me all these other common occurrences please.

You also need to use your only good eye to read this thread.  I've already said Utah has their own problems.

I really suggest you sit in the corner on this one. The deep end of the pool will drown you.

I thought it might be implicit in what you said. You never said it directly.

I am glad you don't think that. Thanks for clarifying.

I'll tell you what is scary.@BSUTOP25's break down of the local government up in that area getting further entrenched and more extreme including leadership as radicals.

When you are in the middle of nowhere and all the rednecks are on the same page, probably pretty hard to enforce and prosecute hate crimes.

    A violent Crime

Having racist thoughts is not illegal and should not be illegal.

Harassment and intimidation are already crimes. I have no idea what crimes are being investigated up there. You just made it sound like having racist thoughts was a crime in and of itself.

Where did I ever mention people should be prosecuted for racial thoughts?

You do know its not against the law to be racist? You do know that right?

    Abhorrent yes, illegal no.

So if someone acts violently with racism, what is that?

What exactly are investigators looking at here including the FBI? I believe the latest report I posted said they called in these folks to investigate crimes based on federal statutes.

You should probably ask these investigators what the hell they are doing wasting all this time and resources.
