I’m not a fan of expanding, but going to 72 or 76 wouldn’t be the end of the world.

Better than the 100+ or whatever they were talking about awhile back.

I really dislike byes and play in games, which this would create a lot more of. Plus I’m not convinced that most bubble teams are all that worthy. I’ll be the first to say Nevada didn’t belong in the field after ending with four straight losses last year.

Go the Larry Brown route. Eliminate all the conference tournaments and expand the tournament to include everyone. It would actually reduce the season by 2 to 3 game. 2 weeks of cinderella games would be a huge TV boost.

CU and  CSU. Always preferred that to Wyoming vs CSU personally.

BYU vs BSU is probably the 2nd best rivalry at least on a national interest, even though it’s relatively new. It will probably fade fairly quickly if the game isn’t renewed soon.

Polls are more like people letting off steam. They are pissed off, unhappy, etc.

Let's face it Trump has a higher floor than Biden which reflects his hardocre base of which he is bleeding support. Biden has a higher ceiling.

If voters in the Swing States really vote for Trump because of the Economy, or Bidens to old, then they and the rest of America deserve what is coming.

Amd we all know what it is.

What’s coming. I think the Ukraine war ends and the Middle East calms down. One thing he was fairly good at was ending wars. Partly because I think he scared the shit out of other countries. He would cross lines all the time that no other President would, which worked out in his favor and the country’s by and large not including trying to overturn the election. The abortion thing has been a bit of chaos. But it’s now voters and legislators deciding it not judges. Democrats have pretty much won every election even in red states over it.

This 1/2 a billion fine has nearly got me back in the left is just as corrupt trying to stop Trump camp. Which POS party do I want to vote for. I guess ending a bunch of people dying around the world might be the deciding factor in voting for Trump. That’s usually a great thing to vote for.

I think the gender issues is bigger than most people think. Trump has no patience for that, which a lot of American silently agree with him.

I think ending war and woke and securing the border might bring him the victory.  Trump is very formidable and Democrats better take him seriously because he can win and it’s no longer going to be an upset.

Hey guys, it is time for another liberal bedwetting session:

Voters Doubt Biden’s Leadership and Favor Trump, Times/Siena Poll Finds - The New York Times (nytimes.com)
The share of voters who strongly disapprove of President Biden’s handling of his job has reached 47 percent, higher than in Times/Siena polls at any point in his presidency.

However, when you look at the methodology it says they 980 landlines and cell phones.  So, I think that naturally leads to the question, "Who is answering the phone and participating in these +++++ing polls?"
So, I came across this article from PBS:

    The Problem with Polls

    freestar

The main problem I have with polling these days is who exactly is answering the phone these days with caller id?  I can really only conclude that it is those people who WANT to take a poll.  Decades ago you only got a phone ring...if you didn't answer the phone you may have actually missed an important call from someone you wanted to talk to and you had to manually take a message.  Back in 2016 we had "shy" Trump voters.  Could we have a similar situation with people who will eventually vote for Biden but won't take the phone call nor answer it honestly or they have the false idea they will have another Democrat to vote for?  Conversely, do Trumpists now have every incentive to take these phone call to try to pump up his support?

My opinion is these polls are pretty much garbage.  They will never be held accountable to these numbers and are just clickbait for the media machine.  There is simply no accountability to polling until right before an election when pollsters can be held accountable to actual results.  I think the more accurate indicator are actual election results from special elections and various elections.

Who knows they were fairly accurate in 2020. Way off in 2016.

Trump is leading Biden by significant numbers in battle ground states. Does an incumbent ever poll well this far out though?

I’m not thrilled with the prospect of a Trump victory. Normally I’d be excited for the polling in the Republicans favor. It’s a weird election year.

From the deepest corners of my heart, I have created a space here where

carpetbaggers on this Board can chat about the BIG-XII.  Allow me to introduce:

Safe Space for the Daily BIG-XII Circle Jerk:

Brigham [like 'em] Young, Tejas Cretin, Univ of Craven FLA & The Poo

I am over the moon about "Brigham [likes 'em] Young."

However I think we can do better than:

"Tejas Cretin" (TX Christian), the "Univ of Craven FLA" (UCF)

& "The Poo" (Univ of Utah).

Any & all suggestions are welcome, regardless of how crass,

disrespectful or down right ugly or offensive they many be.

Thanks in advance for you time, any feedback you'd like to offer

& especially any new colorful & insulting nick-name suggestions!!!

Come on we are the closest thing you have ever had to having actual friends

Tagging @---I GREEN INFECTION I---to get his thoughts on the BYU/Kansas game….

His girlfriend was working at the gas station on the turnpike. She had no teeth and it looked like she smoked 5 packs a day. She told me there were a ton of yankee fans coming thru tonight. I said yes we just played KC in the World Series and we are heading back to west to New York.

I doubt there are many visiting fan tickets available for any Kansas games.  And the last two Saturday's games have likely dampened the spirits of BYU basketball fans who might otherwise have been snatching up tickets.

It was packed. BYU fans flew in from all over the place. I bought 6 from a KU fans. It was a business expense of course.

KU fans had to start chanting when KU had the ball to drown out BYU fans. It was loud when BYU had the ball. Then BYU would make a huge shoot the place went crazy instead of dead silent at most gyms when the road team makes a big shot.

Hope you enjoyed that game, @robe.  They repeatedly showed a couple of BYU fans in the first row or two of the stands on the baseline, and the broadcast showed some other fans giving the players high fives after the win, but I couldn't really tell if there were many other BYU fans in attendance.

When Hall hit that 3 it was loud out of cougarnation sounded like a pack Huntsman center. It was similar to the football game besides k state I doubt KU has seen anything like cougar nation come in. The back and forth between the 2 fanbases was awesome the last 5 minutes.

KU and BYU colors are 2 similar. We packed it in football but you couldn’t tell on TV. I got on the jumbo screen and pointed to BYU on my jacket. The crowd booed. It was awesome

I'm just fine with the B1g and SEC taking what is left in the ACC that is worth money and maybe 1-2 Big 12 teams and breaking away.  Best for all parties involved.  It will be bitter pill for the UCFs, BYU's and Utahs of the world who finally thought they had a permanent seat at the big boys table but it is what it is.

I think they do something like Chip Kelly suggested, two 64 team division. The 2 divisions will still play each other and they will give one and possibly a 2 slot in a 16 team playoff to the G5 division

SEC and B10 merge into a 64 team division. G5 will do the same. Both are football only.

I think there's a higher chance of us joining now. Especially if and when Washington State and Oregon State eventually join the conference.

What about St Mary’s. I think after Bennett leaves they are toast. So I’m not sure how appealing they are. BYU fans were able to take that gym over as well. We have played in some empty gyms on Tuesday nights in the B12 though. OU and OSU were pretty sparse. It looked like a typical Utah home crowd. But 5k in those arenas look empty

Utah basketball games will be basically be a home BYU game going forward. I wish we could have just taken the football team they suck in every thing else and have zero fan support in anything not football.
