  1. 12-1 RUN OVER LAST 2:54 & 5 of 6 on FG attempts .................................................................>
  2. WBB is so skewed to the power conference's it's almost impossible for a grunt program to make any progress............UNLV gets the 8/9 seed and then has to face a 1 seed next game
  3. SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The UNLV baseball team and UC Santa Barbara have agreed to suspend the contest they had originally scheduled on Tuesday night. The two programs came to the decision due to a medical emergency at the venue.
  4. Think the "Hustlin" was added sometime in the 1980's - Few in the public use that term that I know of - The UNLV Athletic Department uses the term I could do without Hustlin' being added ...........guess someone thought that baseball needed the extra name to be like the MBB "Runnin' Rebels" which isn't an "official name"
  5. My thoughts are that between trump - Putin - Xi the goal is a trifecta of dictatorships spanning the northern hemisphere !! Also anyone with eyes & a 3rd grade level brain could see trump would sell the US out for a sum of money -- Where did the OCS get the $$ for his recent $91M bond and where will the half billion bond $$ come from .........I'd bet he's got deals with Russians, Saudis, Chinese billionaires all lined up and if he gets in office the favors / loans will be paid back
  6. The Frogs BB was doing well under Tubbs in the WAC 16...........They had Lee Nailon who got to the NBA & a few other guys that got NBA looks -- Obviously the MWC grabbed TCU for their FB resurgence mainly while in CUSA under Patterson, but as shown below TCU did have some good WAC16 years......from 1-10 in '96 to 20-2 in four seasons
  7. Now the MWC NCAA teams need to go make some noise & get a few wins -- Can't have five or six teams being one & done........need a couple in the SW16 & maybe one in the E8
  8. TCU was better back when we were all in the WAC16 in 1996-99.....Billy Tubbs was the coach and he had some talent -- By the time TCU got back into the MWC Tubbs was gone & TCU was down
  9. Would be nice...........WBB is so skewed to the power conferences that UNLV getting much better than an 8 seed is almost impossible - One bracket I saw had UNLV at #8 then if they beat #9 Princeton they would Face #1 U$C ..........so the 8/9 seed is basically screwed, especially in WBB where the talent difference tween P4 & Grunt programs is pretty vast
  10. Some thoughts in this piece in the Sporting Tribune https://thesportingtribune.com/unlv-san-diego-state-set-for-grudge-match-after-runnin-rebels-lose-at-unr Had UNLV won, they would have likely been a heavy favorite against San Jose State and a favorite by a few baskets against Colorado State, who limped through their conference schedule despite being ranked at various points. Instead, UNLV will be met with the powerhouse of the Mountain West. San Diego State has arguably been UNLV’s biggest kryptonite during their time in the conference, and while UNLV has given them some licks over time too, no Runnin’ Rebel ever feels comfortable against them. UNLV split the season series with San Diego State, losing their conference opener to the Aztecs at Viejas Arena after a lethargic start. The Runnin’ Rebels had the upper hand the second time around, neutralizing star Jaedon Ledee in what was their fourth ranked win of the season. I’ve always said one of my favorite adages in sports is that it’s tough to beat a great team twice. Especially twice in a row within the span of just a few weeks. Doing it against a perennial mid-major powerhouse like San Diego State is even tougher. With a win on Tuesday, UNLV will then be met most likely by top-seeded Utah State. It will give the Runnin’ Rebels a chance to avenge a game they feel was robbed from them in January, but it is easily the hardest path of any of the top five seeds. Another reality presented in Saturday’s game is one that UNLV faithful may find even harder to stomach and one that many may not even admit. UNR is the best team in the conference. Not only that, but with the way they are playing, I’d probably say they are my current pick to win the Mountain West tournament. Can I get one more in? I also don’t think it’s at all unlikely that Jarod Lucas leads the Wolfpack on a deep run in the NCAA tournament. I have a feeling I’ll have a stomach ache when filling out my bracket in a few weeks, because I really do like what they have been putting down lately. Okay, that felt gross. I’m sorry. I’m still a UNLV alum at heart. I’ll always try and remain as objective as possible, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to like it.
  11. Largest margin of victory in MWC WBB history !!!
