  1. Elbow to the schnozz. Broken nose. He'll want to play and wear the mask but he's not needed and he is needed for Sunday's game with San Francisco.
  2. Story goes that his parents and HS coach were talking with other schools about EMac. So, like no one talked to EMac, he was just talking with his parents. All cool. He's got a deal in hand for good money. Prince Strachan was #2 to EMac at that spot so he's next and his ceiling is higher than EMac's so this may be future groundhog's day for us.
  3. SDSU, Boise, CSU, Nevada and UNM say hell yes!
  4. Last year the defense had Matlock, Skinner and Jones on D; all in the NFL now. The Bronco D hasn't replaced any of them. The D is the main reason the Broncos stink. That and special teams gives up a game momentum changing play every week. Our secondary can't cover or tackle. Guess who coaches both CB's and Special teams? A soon to be ex-coach, Demario Warren.
  5. 4th is likely if non of the transfers pan out. And that's the 'safe' bet for bloggers. It could be a rough start to the season listening to Leon. Martin is a big time talent but he hasn't played basketball for 900 days. His first shot in Canada a month or two ago was an airball brick. They're asking Omar to play 5 some and he was an outside the key guy for St Johns. Anderson played at a much lower level than the MWC and we want him to be savior at PG. That's a lot that has to come together just to cob a solid 7 man rotation. And Leon thinks he's got 9-10. So now it's freshmen like Meadow and redshirts like Keene that have to really step up.
  6. I'd bet most improved for Boise will be Agbo. Degenhart is the best player and has shown it whenever he plays his natural position of forward. You may be the only prognosticator thinking UNM-Nev at 1 and 2. Good on you for thinking different than the masses. It's going to be a stacked top of the MWC this year and any one of 5 or 6 teams could win it.
  7. Don't you throw facts into a troll rant. Side note, it's funny to see long lost vandal fans puffing up now that they're back where they belong in FCS.
  8. Yes I watch a lot of college football. Nothing you've written changes my view.
  9. Coyle was great for hoops in his one year here. It would have been interesting to see if he had long term vision because I don't think he did. We were always a stepping stone for his career plans to get back to east coast.
  10. Which teams have played their best this year? For an entire game. Boise hasn't. Not close.
  11. Kustra saddled us with an incompetent AD and every year Apsey was here the programs were anchored. He didn't have a vision or a plan or a method of executing the job with the intent of moving forward. He grabbed the rudder and steered her straight on whatever path he inherited. If you don't capitalize on success while it's happening you're sliding back. We've never had an AD like the one we have now. Nothing slows this guy down on his mission to move the AD up. Oh well. I love MWC hoops and I think if the playoffs stay with the plan that the MWC is a great place to be in football too. The MWC could see the playoffs before any recent adds to the B12.
  12. This staff has been recruiting really well for 2 straight classes but they are stuck on this 'development program' thing that they lost sight of the fact those young guys were already better than the guys they inherited that were left in 2023.
  13. Peasley didn't look like he was all there to me. He's looked so pumped up and focused in games I've watched this year but he looked either confured or something. Maybe the D showed him stuff they hadn't shown on film yet but he looked off to me.
  14. Not too surprise with the Bronco OL but the DL hasn't been much all season. Today when Fely and Gums started inside that would be the first game for that and Washington being out meant Virgin was in and he was beast. The blitz package tonight messed with the OL for sure too because they hadn't seen that on film yet.
  15. Hearing he's got a real nice inside game at practice. They will use him at the 4 and the 5 depending on situation. He's got a smooth jumper too. He's just getting familiar, etc and I bet we see more out of him as the year goes on.
  16. Those are 3 studs for sure and no Bronco fan would trade Degenhart for them. Omar Stanley might be our LaDee. We'll see.
  17. You should be optimistic this year. Never know if this year's Bronco team will play close to abilities but I wouldn't bet a nickle they will this year anytime. And I wish everyone's kids weren't moving here either. Breaks my balls.
  18. like Deon said 'jump on while you can, this is as bad as it gets'. Broncos' fans deserve it. It's been absurd for decades. Leon's team is keeping us going. They look real good. Better than the last couple seasons by a decent margin at this stage of October.
  19. Coaching IMO. Not a ton of respect for Huston who only had one team over .500 in MWC play and that was his first year with an inherited team. Not sure what he's got on Fresno but it must be good to not get fired about 2-3 years ago. Miles has a ton of respect on the other side
  20. Pros don't get fooled by soup spices. Come on. Ft Fun residents are pros.
  21. Dickey's no dummy. If there's a short list of candidates who could kill it here then he's got it.
  22. I have a lot of faith in Dickey. If a change is needed, he'll find the buyout for the final year or even the final 2 if this year gets worse. Some of the bigger boosters are already in his ear about the program. And they're the ones who'll pay the buyout. And as much faith I have in Dickey, there's not a ton of home run hires for G5's anymore. There are up and comers and P5 coordinators and they bring big risks. Honestly hoping Avalos is getting better as he learns even if it's harder for us fans to see it. I like both coordinators and neither are head coach material yet so to keep them means keeping Avalos.
  23. The best head coach on the planet would struggle win with an average QB and less than average D. Blame Avalos for the talent and even more for the D but as far as coaching games his hands are tied. And I think he's still digging the program out of what Harsin and the pandemic left him as a first year head coach. I give him next year. All his recruits and 4th year of the 5 year contract. No problem starting over if we're still stuck in the mud after 4 yrs.
