  1. Lulz at being dismisive of gun control as arrogance. As pointed out, I stick up for urban issues all the time, so miss me with that shit. Your rural mouse was just whimsy? Not a mockery of protecting small states through federalism?
  2. Neither is "yes we can" or "hope and change". Or "Im with her" Its a campaign sign. Policy does not fit.
  3. Rural Idaho and Oregon understand wildfires suck as much as anybody. As far as gun control, yeah I will be dismissive. So will rural America. Do many of them like the mean things Trump says about the libs? Yup. Is that as big as any reason for rural America getting redder? Not even close. The Obama recovery left them behind. That is the biggest reason. Oh and Hamilton thought on the royal wealthy mouse had any merit. Federalism has been the most successful expirement in how to govern men. Sorry you disagree.
  4. Do people in small rural towns speak poorly of city people and life? Sure, a lot of them. But no, I reject the idea that rural communities are getting redder and redder because Trump is mean "as much ad anything else". It has far more to do with not seeing the benefits of the economic recovery after the recession that cities did. And of course the anti gun and your vehicle is destroying the planet rhetoric.
  5. Picking sides? Remember you are talking to the man who gets into it with conservatives about reperations, the plight of the urban poor and how many just can not "move away" if they do not like it. I have railed against discriminatory policing targeting communities that yield the best conviction rates. I am the guy that applauds Seattle and Portland for creating safe spaces for addicts. I can say democrats are acting like little arrogant and ignorant shits in their attitudes towards rural communities and rest well knowing I am not picking sides.
  6. As weird as it sounds COVID may end up a blessing for rural America as industry in the country realizes it is ok to work from home. Towards your question though, this is a good read https://www.usda.gov/media/press-releases/2020/11/02/icymi-president-trump-fighting-our-farmers-ranchers-and-rural Yeah, Trump did ok with Rural America. The problem the above does not address is long term. Trump is far from rural Jesus. Compared to the absolute contempt of (some of the most vocal) democrats though, is it a hard choice?
  7. Of course not. I adress the otherside constantly. But right here, right now in this conversation the left's caricatures is what I am addressing as they presented themselves in the dialogue. It is like when I advocate for BLM, point out the unfairness in our social contracts we force the less fortunate into.
  8. Well in my personal experience fwiw, they, some of my favorite people (and in Idaho that includes many tribes like the Nez) are scared liberal policy on the West is a canary in the coal mine. They see the focus of democrats on Urban life. As AOC says "just walk to the deli". The insecurity of Rural America is justified. IMHO
  9. I mean, man is a grifter but the idea that rural America is a class of dumb lazy people, an idea pushed by the left, is going to turn people off. We have people like Nevadafan and Spaz calling them lazy and dumb when that is far from accurate. Too stupid to know what is good for them. Democrats wonder why they lost the rural working class. I read this board and it is obvious.
  10. I mean the one, single facility in all China that was researching Novel animal to human transmisable viruses just happened to be in Wuhan.... Your speculation has a lot of logic.
  11. When @mugtang triggers both sides I get all warm Nd fuzzy.
  12. The tax cut was popular with them. As to your last paragraph. Jeeesus, and I get called arrogant on here for clown +++++ing @NevadaFan
  13. Maybe? No Euro team is going to look at him as anything other than a gamble for depth and a project.
  14. Probably the group people like you mock. And your mocking is a big reason why. 75 million people you clearly find to not be capable and if they are going through hard times, it is because they are stupid. And you wonder why the working poor and lower middle class voted overwhelmingly for Trump.
  15. Peace is always a good thing but the logistical importance of the area has waned.
  16. To be frank, the ME and near Asia has never been less important to the West, not since the bronze age collapse. There is no control of trade, between East and West, Russia and the US produce more than enough energy. We are not in a cold war chess game. There is just no advantage in ME hegemonic strength relient on force projection right now.
  17. And I agree in some respect. The economic might of American capitalism allowed us to meet and out compete Russia at every turn. We could turn and burn, arm and intervene. I know that is simplistic but my computer is in the shop and typing on a phone sucks.
  18. Posts like this really highlight why Trump and the GOP have become the party of the working poor. You are part of the Trump problem.
  19. I am perfectly fine ceding the sandbox to Russia and China. Let them waste blood and treasure for little return for the next few decades.
  20. Close. That season the MWC finished 5th in RPI. The following season we earned 5 bids by finishing 3rd. The highest ever for thr MWC.
  21. Only 3 conference wins that year with Marks, Drimic and co. being true freshman.
