  1. Maybe but the reason Boise football is attractive is mostly due to OOC and Bowl game wins. You don't get to crap your pants OOC and in bowl games and claim to be on par with a team that doesn't.
  2. So a significantly worse record, no significant OOC wins, no ranked teams and you think you have been just as good? Lol.
  3. Well it's time to goodbye Hawaii, hello Utep.
  4. Volleyball and womens BB dont even move the needle. Mens Basketball barely moves the needle. Only football matters.
  5. I'm prett sure somebody had to explain this to you in 2007 on the WAC board. BSU is everybody's second favorite team, so really our market is is most of North America, parts of Europe, Japan and Australia. God we are fukn awesome.
  6. Why that is the least fancy thing I have ever heard!
  7. So I was really sick the last few days and spent a lot of my free time watching the Hudl highlights of MWC teams classes and CSU's really stood out, wow. Colon is a bad, bad man. Gaston is a glove and Bodie should get touches as a true. I also like Hicks, Tongomoa and Sutton. I would have been stoked if BSU landed any of those guys. CSU's class also reminded me of Boise in how they reached all over to get recruits. Pretty cool to see two teams in the Rockies prove to be so attractive to kids. This might chaff some Fresno fans but after looking at all the highlights and digging around and reading articles I think SJSU had the 3rd best class.
  8. What sets of data do you use and how do you measure them? Some very odd results in the top 50. Michigan State 41? Arkansas Little Rock 6th? Some very weird placings for a few other dozen teams as well. Do you believe your metrics will become more indicative as the season goes on? I have always liked your Rankulator for Football, especially the extra weight you give towards road wins.
  9. This is a big get. Would have most likely racked up offers from half the Pac12.
  10. Damn. Nice. How many hours did that take you? How do you weigh the data?
  11. Wow.... Lol so many turnovers.
  12. Wy challenge that call? Do not get it, not even close.
  13. Those ute WR's need to get those damn gloves off. So what if you have cold fingers.
  14. The Utes quest for a QB continues. Good Lord.
  15. Fun game. I was on my feet for the pick 6. Go Utes.
  16. Hawaii paying travel subs is insulting, not just to UH but to anybody who values a good program. To this day I think the 2006 Hawaii team was one of the best Non AQ teams of all time (far better than their BCS year) UH football brings far more to this conference than a lot of other teams, without naming names
  17. And Johnson has proved when given superior resources at a school like GT, his record and results do not automatically get much better. In fact he has struggled more at GT than he did at Navy, I'm sure it is because of the rigors of the academic workload and responsibilities of the student athlete at GT. Right?
  18. The reason I brought up Paul Johnson is because he no longer coaches at an Academy, while he did he at least had a 10 win season. He has obviously not been an elite coach while at GT. A good coach? yes. Just like Calhoun is a good coach. One of the top coaches in CFB? Certainly not, again similar to Calhoun.
  19. Besides the whole point that I guess I've failed in epic style at making was this; Saying Rocky Long isn't in the same class as Calhoun is akin to saying Calhoun isn't in the same class as Petersen.
  20. He does? Paul Johnson had more success at Navy, and I certainly wouldn't put Paul Johnson in the category of elite coaches.
  21. Switch UNLV and UNM and that is my take on it as well.
  22. It was a great game. I'd wager most feel CP is already solidly in that top 10 status, as I have yet to see a listing of the top 10 coaches come out in the last 3 years with out his name in it. Calhoun's success is admirable but is hard to measure against other elite coaches who have produced elite teams. I'm not qualified to say weather or not Calhoun could produce top results outside of a situation such as AFA is in. All I feel I am qualified to say is that he has not produced a team that finished with fewer than 4 losses, making it impossible to put him in the echelon of great CFB coaches. All IMHO.
